Roblox

Roblox is a figure not many know about. He’s the platform itself- the one who created the Admins, presumably, and one who used to be much more of a bright and active figure in robloxia’s history. Why he’s become this cold, almost ghostly figure is unknown- it happened far before John’s apocalypse.

Roblox is unable to effect much- any “big changes” he attempts to make are seemingly undone. All he can do is sit and watch from his burned out office, occasionally appear to speak to people, or hold some in a sort of “stasis” for a while.

One would think he’d side with his Admins, try to help them survive the apocalypse and restore order… but Roblox seems indifferent. He’s spoken with both his admins and John, and be it from the rot the Exploit has forced upon him or his own volition, he is entirely uncaring as to who wins. Or mostly uncaring, anyways- he does care for his admins in some… limited capacity.

No matter who comes out on top, if Roblox falls to the exploit or pieces itself back together, He know’s he’ll win. He’ll have another set of Admins, new or old, who will have no choice but to carry out his will.

{Now, met by the world it found itself in, Player stood on a spawnpoint dripping with exploited code. The poor thing was going to be so confused by this place- but luckily, there existed a machine practically built for introductions!}

{Studio, who was sitting at some sort of pop-up stand, roused from what looked to be sleep. Before Player knew it, the robot was right up in it’s face!}

“...Icy?” Mash woke up, shaking their friend awake. “Icy- Icy I think the cats messed with the bloxxy teleporter.”

“Whuh...?” Icy woke up and looked around. “...yeah.”

“Yeah- hey you two!! Get back here-!” Mashed yelled and ran after Ecanem (black kitty) and Snoey (white kitty), followed by Icy.

In turn, that just led them to two other cats after who knows how much walking - a pink one and a blue one. They seemed to get along with theirs just fine.

“Is anybody here besides the cats?”

“Hopefully... hello?? Hello??! Is anybody here-??!”

{Classic was the first to arrive, leaning out of the door to their room and looking down at the cats and then back at the two.} {their face barely shifted to look of tired surprise, maybe they’d just woken up? Either way, they didn’t seem too put off. After a beat of thinking, a bit of exploit code arched up above their head, almost like a chatbox.}

[are you the two who keep sending me cats?]

{they motioned back towards the pink and blue cats, and almost seemed ready to “say” something else, before sudden footsteps down the hall had them frantically hiding their little burst of exploit} {Builder rounded the corner just in time to not see it, uncharacteristically excited.}

{he screeched to a halt at the sign of two new arrives, face steeling, and he crept forward much more cautious}

I, ah, sorry- y’two alright? New folks usually spawn in with Lua, I didn’t expect to see ya here. Y’arent hurt, are you?

{seems he was more worried about the new “survivors” than whatever situation was brewing with the cats- what a nice guy :)}

“Nope and neither,” Icy began, picking up Ecanem. “completely fine. Besides, It wouldn't be like that bad if we had gotten hurt. I think.”

Mashed briefly rumaged through their bag before pulling out a small handful of green orbs, though soon dumping them back in there. “And here I was ready to announce I'd forgotten these.”

“Hah- anyhow, uhh... ... ...hold on, who even are you people? Where are we-?”

“There are nicer ways to go about asking that, y'know...” “Shut up, they probably get what I mean anyways.”

Snoey went to sit by Mash, who briefly glanced at the cat before putting him on their head.

{Builder’s look morphed to that of raw confusion, between the odd activities the two were up to and the strangely dismissive way they spoke} {at least he could answer their questions!}

{Almost everyone seemed to know him right away, and half seemed to have a bone to pick with him too. It was a little odd to not have somebody act like that.}

Mashed sighed before taking a step forward. “We wouldn't mind being shown around, getting familiar with this place atleast on a surface level is probably better than walking around aimlessly...”

Ecanem wiggled out of Icy's grasp to go bat at Pro, but they just picked her back up. “Hey, no arguing you fun-sized shadow,” they said, before looking at Pro and petting her briefly. “But uh, if Mash's down for this I guess I also am.”

“Odd little things... sometimes I look for them and they aren't there, then I turn around and look in that spot again and it's as if they appeared out of thin air...!”

“I'm starting to think those things can, like, actually camouflage or something.”

{Builder walked with a hand running against the stone wall. Every once in a while, they’d pass a well constructed set of wooden beams- ones which Builder seemed to admire as they passed}

So, tell me about your travels here. Ah, where you were before this whole apocalypse, and how’d ya get here- I figure we can walk and talk a bit, get to know the new arrivals, that sort of stuff.

{Guest walked alongside them with crossed arms, stopping only to lift Pro up. They are pretty special cats, huh? It seemed like Pro had some venom, and… they didn’t know what the others did, but assumedly something like that.}

{what place- world? Did these two travelers come from that could produce such odd creatures? Guest loved pro and cheesecake, of course, but… maybe more wanderers and cats wasn’t a Good thing. They already struggled to feed everyone as is.} {Slowly, guest drifted to the back of the group. They’d find a way to break off, but not yet.}

{The group arrived at the cave opening, but instead of light pouring down to meet them, the sky was cloaked in a swirling gray fog. Down below, in a valley cut by two rivers, some people stirred and meandered about- to their left was a set of wide stone stairs carved into the side of this hill, which Builder seemed keen to take. Presumably, Spawn was at the top.}

Sorry for the walk. Hopefully it’s not too taxing.

“...” Icy didn't seem to be paying too much attention, looking at the clouded sky.

“Ah, it's fine! Besides, we're used to walking much longer distances. Right Icy?” Mash asked, nudging their friend to snap them back to reality.

“...Yeah- the place where we found Ecanem and Snoey is, like, a two day trip from where we were staying. On foot, atleast.”

“Yeah! Outside the travels on foot if they'd be too bad or we couldn't even get there we use a thing Icy made that they dubbed the bloxxy teleporter- which we... lost. So we can't really get back home at the moment...”

“We weren't even supposed to go here!!” Icy complained. “The cats messed with it.”

“Yeah. I- I really hope we can get back soon, we have... a LOT of things to take care of.”

Despite the fact they were trying to stay nonchalant, Mash was clearly on edge regarding whatever they had to take care of back home.

Icy sighed. “Yeah.”

{Builder nodded. It seemed like a bit of a non-answer to him, but at least he got something of an idea- a teleporter would help survive, wouldn’t it? And moving constantly, too. It was how he and Shed survived for a long time on their own, at least.}

I see. Part of another group, then? We’ll see if we can help you find your way back home- I understand not sticking ‘round here if you’ve got folks to get back to.

{He started making his way up the stairs. They were carved well, wide enough to not feel precarious despite the drop below.}

I might be able to help with making ya a new- err- “Bloxxy teleporter”… but im more about the sheetmetal side of things. If ya wanna get a real electronics expert, I’d talk to Vee. Either way, im sure Studio can get some sorta help for ya, be it locating the thing or finding somebody to help make a new one for ya.

Mashed clasped their hands and shuffled them briefly. The thought of their friends back home likely wasn't going to leave their mind now. Soon after, they grabbed Snoey and held the white cat close to their chest, anxious.

Icy nudged their best friend playfully in hopes of making them loosen up a bit, which prompted a nervous chuckle from Mash.

“...So we just keep going up the stairs?” they asked soon after.

{Guest just continued on up the stairs. Impatient, maybe. Builder nodded,}

Seems like yer tour guide’ll leave ya behind if you don’t.

{Indeed, Guest disappeared up the top of the hill. With only a moment of deliberation, a little blue shiny head poked over the top of the hill. Its emotion expression shifted from a shocked “:0” to a very happy “^_^”, and it made a large cartoonish wave as if to usher the two to the top. Guest poked their head over a few moments later, with a lingering suspicious expression.}

Rose Quartz

Rose is a masterful sword fighter, chosen by Shedletsky himself to wield the Illumina. Where many SWORD wielders lose their SFOTH swords in combat, she has managed to keep a hold of her weapon since she was first chosen to wield it. She considers it her life’s mission to keep it safe!

however, the Illumina is one of the most powerful SWORDs- it carries with it the unique ability to “purify” exploit code. While traditionally its main use was revealing hidden people, as exploit became more common, she realized this ability to nullify the effects of Exploit and worked with the admins to ban hackers often.

John saw this and took her by surprise when the apocalypse first started- he couldn’t kill her with exploit outright, and getting too close to her hurt and burned his own code, so he settled for locking her away deep underground beneath his home base at the Crossroads.

c00lkidd is the only other killer who knows her location, being assigned to feed her and make sure she doesn’t escape. Seems like he spilled the beans to his buddy Crosscut, though, as he sometimes visits her.

despite being caged, Rose maintains a hope that burns bright in her chest! She refuses to be smothered by the hackers, and though she’s lost much of her spark and ability to fight, she hasn’t sunken fully into a pit of hopelessness. Though the experience has scarred her deeply, she doesn’t outright seek revenge, and instead sees the killers as they are- People, beneath their hostile exteriors. Namely, she’s gotten close to c00l, who she sees as a misguided kid. She doesn’t know crosscut well, as he isn’t very talkative, but sees how distraught he is. She also has an understanding of 1x4’s true nature with how much c00l talks about and respects him.

during the events of Vee’s milestones in FC, she would be freed by Vee and the Illumina passed on to her. As of this blog, though, she is still imprisoned. After being freed, Vee and Rose grow very close, with Rose using the crystals growing out of her due to underuse of her SWORD to charge Vee via a piezoelectric reaction.

Mashed briefly rumaged through their bag before pulling out a small handful of green orbs, though soon dumping them back in there. “And here I was ready to announce I'd forgotten these.”

“Hah- anyhow, uhh... ... ...hold on, who even are you people? Where are we-?”

“There are nicer ways to go about asking that, y'know...” “Shut up, they probably get what I mean anyways.”

Snoey went to sit by Mash, who briefly glanced at the cat before putting him on their head.

Mashed sighed before taking a step forward. “We wouldn't mind being shown around, getting familiar with this place atleast on a surface level is probably better than walking around aimlessly...”

Ecanem wiggled out of Icy's grasp to go bat at Pro, but they just picked her back up. “Hey, no arguing you fun-sized shadow,” they said, before looking at Pro and petting her briefly. “But uh, if Mash's down for this I guess I also am.”

“Odd little things... sometimes I look for them and they aren't there, then I turn around and look in that spot again and it's as if they appeared out of thin air...!”

“I'm starting to think those things can, like, actually camouflage or something.”

Good to meet ya two, then. I already introduced me an’ Guest, but I’ll make sure to introduce any new folks we meet too.

So, tell me about your travels here. Ah, where you were before this whole apocalypse, and how’d ya get here- I figure we can walk and talk a bit, get to know the new arrivals, that sort of stuff.

{what place- world? Did these two travelers come from that could produce such odd creatures? Guest loved pro and cheesecake, of course, but… maybe more wanderers and cats wasn’t a Good thing. They already struggled to feed everyone as is.} {Slowly, guest drifted to the back of the group. They’d find a way to break off, but not yet.}

{The group arrived at the cave opening, but instead of light pouring down to meet them, the sky was cloaked in a swirling gray fog. Down below, in a valley cut by two rivers, some people stirred and meandered about- to their left was a set of wide stone stairs carved into the side of this hill, which Builder seemed keen to take. Presumably, Spawn was at the top.}

“Yeah- hey you two!! Get back here-!” Mashed yelled and ran after Ecanem (black kitty) and Snoey (white kitty), followed by Icy.

In turn, that just led them to two other cats after who knows how much walking - a pink one and a blue one. They seemed to get along with theirs just fine.

“Is anybody here besides the cats?”

“Hopefully... hello?? Hello??! Is anybody here-??!”
