Sometimes
Sometimes I feel like we teach people that we’re strong, that we’re ok, that we can take care of ourselves or that we don’t necessarily need help. And then it becomes too hard to break down that shield of strength and reach out for help. Our brain tells us “if u were strong u wouldn’t be helpless” “if u cry they’ll think ure weak” “if u tell them ure not fine they’ll think ure miserable”. Yet deep inside, in our hearts we wish that someone looked through the wall of strength and saw the pain in our eyes. We wish that someone could take care of us like we take care of them. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t strong and maybe then someone could see that I’m dying and someone could see that I too may need help in the smallest tasks like eating and talking and smiling. Sometimes I wish that my strength wasn’t also my weakness.

Don’t die before you die
You’re stronger than you think you are. You’re smarter than you think you are. You have more courage than you think you do. You’re funnier than you think you are. You are more precious than you think you are. Don’t make anyone make you think less of yourself. You are special. There is only one of you in this entire world, so accept and love yourself for who are you and always be yourself. Stop trying to be the “perfect” society tells you to be, be the person you feel most comfortable being. Don’t try to be someone else, you are amazing the way you are. Believe and respect yourself. You deserve it.
There is always someone ready to listen to you and help you. There is always someone who will be there for you whenever you need. There is always someone who smiles because of you. There is someone who cares for you and wants you to be happy. You deserve all the happiness in the world and don’t let anyone else make you think otherwise. At times we don’t realize this because we have our doors closed way too tight. There is still good in this world, so open your doors a bit, let people in and try to share the hidden and bottled up emotions. You are important and you matter.

Everyone needs and deserves to have someone who would love them more than themselves. Who would do anything for you without any second thoughts because the only thing that matters to them is what will make you happy. Someone who’s life would be incomplete without you and your laughs. Someone who you can text any time and you wouldn’t need to be scared about being annoying. A person who completely understands you and there isn’t even a question of one judging the other. Someone who completes you and pushes you to be the best version of you. A relationship that is special and important to both of you. Someone that makes you realize that sometimes a person can be home too. You deserve to have someone who isn’t afraid of expressing how they feel about you and ure happiness is their priority. Someone who’s one smile brings warmth and safety to you and who’s hug puts all your broken pieces together. Someone who brings home even to ure most darkest days. Someone who has seen all your ugly sides and excepts you for who you are. A person who not only listens to your problems but also gives you a solution and takes away all ure burdens and worries. Someone who understands you better than you can ever understand yourself. Someone who u can say I love you to every day and every time it feels like it’s the first time because it never looses it’s meaning. I have my someone, my best friend, and I hope you find yours too.
If you don’t have the proper knowledge about a mental illness then please do not talk about it. It’s disrespectful to people who actually suffer from them. If you like to clean u aren’t ocd. If something bad happens and u feel sad for a couple days you do not know how depression feels. If you feel scared before a big exam you do not have anxiety. For people who suffer from a mental illness, it’s an extremely difficult fight so it hurts when others talk about their mental illness without understanding it or as a joke. Such topics are very sensitive and just like anything else, if u don’t know much about it don’t talk about it.
Only if there was another life, where I could be you and you could be me. Maybe then you’d understand what it feels like to love someone more than themselves and not have them love you back.
Live day by day. Don’t think about the future, its not something you can control. Just wake up and focus on today, do your best today, smile more than ever today, make others laugh, do what makes you happy. It’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out today, no one ever has their life all planned. Live for today and then focus on tom when it comes but until then try to not stress about the future. You will be at the best place youre meant to be eventually, take it a little easier and go slow.
We tend to be the hardest on ourselves trying to reach perfection yet telling others that it’s okay to not be perfect. You are human. You will make mistakes, you will have bad days, you will fall, you will gain weight, you will embarrass yourself, you will have a bad mark, you will get hurt and hurt others, and you will have regrets. But its okay. It’s okay for all this to happen because it will help you learn, grow and become stronger. Allow yourself to live. Just take a deep breathe and tell yourself that its okay if everything isn’t perfect about you or your life. Try to accept yourself for the way you are and treat yourself with respect and care. Let yourself do what truly makes you happy and allow yourself to live life the way it is meant to be lived. Take risks, do what brings peace and happiness to you and be a little easier on yourself. Please take care of yourself and always give yourself the advice you would to the people you love.
But I can't help falling in love with you
Everyone is different. If someone makes a mistake, it’s the action of only one person. If someone decides to treat you a certain way they are the only ones you should question. If someone causes you pain, that is the only person you should blame. It doesn’t need to be generalized to “all guys” or “all girls”. We’re all different people with different views, thoughts and decisions. Just because a certain experience didn’t go well it doesn’t give you the right to assume that everyone else will be the same as well. Rather than generalizing one person’s actions to everyone else, our society needs to start respecting the individuality of people. Please give everyone a chance, you never know the person you turn down today because of your yesterday was just the one you needed. We are all separate individuals who must be held accountable for only and only our own actions.
Sometimes for things to get better we have to get out of our comfort zone. It may be scary at first, but sometimes a small change can make things a lot better. Change is not always bad.
Don’t be afraid of falling. It is okay to fall. In fact, its good because falling opens the road to growth and you will eventually be at the good place you were always meant to be at. You will be okay keep trying.
