Finally finished Isles of the Emberdark and I have to say I was immediately charmed by Starling. I know some people don't really vibe the young character with endless optimism, but I think she contrasted Dusk wonderfully. She was absolutely the standout of the book for me.

Having the 13th Doctor back was an absolute treat

It's crazy to feel nostalgic for an era that ended only 2 1/2 years ago, but when her era started I was only 16.

I loved the way the Doctor's character development is shown through their interactions with 13. Her Doctor was defined by playing her cards too close to the chest. Never truly opening up, until time finally ran out.

I don't even care that there wasn't really much of an explanation given for her return.

My feeling on Doctor Who season 2 are complicated

Overall I think we had a legendary run of Episodes, with the sole sinker being Lucky Day

On the other hand... RTD cannot write a satisfying conclusion to save his life anymore.

I'm going to miss 15 immensely, Ncuti brought new life to the show with a Doctor utterly different than any before. He clearly loved the role, and before the reshoots was probably eyeing a third season.

We will miss you, Ncuti Gatwa, I only hope we see him again someday.

If I had a nickel for every time, in the third to last episode of the second season for the second doctor of an RTD era, reintroduced a Timelord from classic who, after claiming that all the Time Lords were dead, then that classic timelord regenerated in the same episode they revealed themselves after being teased for over a season I would have two nickels.

Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

No matter how many times Doctor Who does the 'The climax of the episode is a highlight reel of past doctors, while he talks at the bad guy' I will never not be hyped by it.

Captain American: The Winter Soldier becomes more and more relevant.

Like it sucks that everyone thinks he's dead but on the other hand Kaladin does love a dramatic entrance.
