Skordo had a plan and he executed it perfectly; he greets us, he mentions love, he leaves.

That man knew exactly what he was doing, and what he hoped would happen, and I adore him for it, especially after all his concern for Darien during the previous quests.

This is also the first scene where Darien's sounded slightly drunk, and I'm wondering if Skordo also arranged that to help him finally make a real move on the Vestige?
