eh i mean... i feel like this is oversimplifying things. like, you don’t go to folsom street fair and expect /not/ to see some leather and public nudity. in a similar vein, i think there should be an expectation at pride events that lgbt sexuality is going to be expressed and celebrated in some way - much of pride’s purpose, after all, is allowing for expressions of lgbt intimacy and identity and selfhood in ways that are typically suppressed and denied. on the other hand, there should also definitely be non-sexual and family-friendly event options available. just my 2 cents

lol can you read? i explicitly said that bi people in m-f relationships are welcome and should be at pride, but i also think that any straight person (i.e. straight partner of a bi person) at pride should be held to high standards of good behavior, just like any other straight person at pride. i think it’s reasonable to be cautious of straight people at pride events when i’ve seen a lot of bad behavior from straight people there in the past, but as long as a straight person attending pride with their lgbt partner is decent and respectful, they’re welcome to be there. have fun w ur bad faith misreadings of my post tho xoxo
