âI donât trust you with Bonnie. I donât care how good of a guy she says you are, I donât trust you.â
âThatâs fair, but.. she saved me. Iâd never intentionally hurt her.â
mysticqveen:
âBonnie is one of my best friends, I donât want to see her getting hurt by you.â
âGetting hurt? I donât know what you mean.â
@fljules | JULES
âI love the danger. Let the wolves come out to play.â
@mysticqveen | CAROLINE
âYou can say whatever -- try to mess with me.â
eldestsalvctore:
âWell, if a creepy stranger thinks I have no depth, then I guess I donât.â Damon mused with an eye roll. âDonât you have someone else to annoy?â
âOnly one person. Sheâs my favorite.â
bcnnctwitch:
âHa ha. Very funny.â she replied, unable to hold back a real chuckle at his subtle correction. Her expression softened as he took a more serious direction. âWe saved each other. I never would have found my way out of there without you.â she reminded, nodding in agreement to his final statement. â Iâm glad youâre here..â
âLet me make a mistake or two. I need to catch up with the rest of your friends.â His lips purse in a subtle grin, looking at her at an angle -- eyes still shining. âIâm glad Iâm here too. And.. Bonnie, youâre my one friend. Remember that.â
justxjenna:
âHigh school wasnât that bad for me, actually. I was super hot,â she laughed. âBut I understand where youâre coming from. School just isnât for everyone.â Jenna shrugged her shoulders, âOf all time? No. Lately, yes. Once you gain custody of two teenagers, you kind of lose any and all hope of someone finding you attractive.â She laughed at him and shook her head, âWell, that is very sweet of you.â
âI think itâs impressive. Two whole teenagers? Not the easiest thing. I was a twin, and I thatâs not to mention my siblings. I know what it takes to raise a human person.â Kai grinned widely. âSo yeah, I might not get to meet high school you, but that? Thatâs super hot.â
justxjenna:
âThereâs still a stigma around it as well, so good luck,â she laughed halfheartedly. He was pretty lucky that he hadnât grown up in Mystic Falls. The old ladies at church should only gossip about how attractive or unattractive they found him. Jenna wasnât so lucky. âOh, that is probably the best compliment Iâve ever received.â
âAnything beats going through high school again.â A hilarious thought, considering just who and what he was. As for stigma.. he was used to it. His brow tightened at her words. âThe best?â he questioned. He knew she was just being playful, but visibly, he was taking it as a challenge. âWell, I think youâre very pretty. Pretty fun, too.â
clairewitch:
âa family of them â siblings. interesting but dangerous, you should be careful.â
âthereâs a lot of them, and theyâre bad news. âkay. do they have names? distinguishing features?â kai was excited. powerful, magical beings that just happened to be wandering the small virginian town. it was an opportunity if heâd ever heard one.
justxjenna:
âThey sure do,â she nodded. âI think it still goes through the school system, even.â Jenna would be lying if she hadnât looked up how to obtain a GED recently. She didnât have the highest hopes for her nephew actually graduating. âOh, itâs just Jenna. I like to think Iâm still young enough to forgo the âMissâ. Let me give you my card,â she opened her purse and dug around until she found a slightly crumpled business card, âSorry, my purse destroys everything I put in it.â
âThank god.â He had very weak intentions to get a job; to create a life. But, he knew it couldnât hurt. Assimilating if only for the fact that he could. No living person in Mystic Falls ( that he was aware of ) knew his secret, and he still had a good two years left. Maybe to even assemble his own coven -- a band of people under his spell. He took the card, flashing her a smile. âOh, I didnât think you were much older than me,â he assured her. âBut Jenna it is.âÂ
deveravx:
âTolerable. I think thatâs the nicest thing someone has said to me all day.â Sophie chuckled, flashing a smile at Kai. âWell, after the first impression, it can go a couple different ways. Depends if you like them, hate them, or find yourself somewhere in the middle.â
âIs that because.. no one else has talked to you today, or is everyone actually an asshole here?â Heâs listening to her words, his face unreadable; in thought. âSo? Howâd I do?â
bcnnctwitch:
âI wouldnât put it that way, but yeah, pretty much.â Bonnie chuckled, smiling as she listened to witch. His next comment surprised her, and her expression softened for a moment before she shook her head. âYou probably should go. You didnât suffer for almost sixteen years just to end up getting hurt because I did something stupid.â
âTechnically, it would be me doing the stupid thing.â His tone was casual, fun, gaze meeting hers with a soft playfulness. Then his smile faded, became modest, and heâs nodding at her. âYou saved my life,â he said upfront. âRight now? Youâre needing a bit of saving.â
eldestsalvctore:
âIf you say so.â
âYouâre just.. damaged. Maybe a little bit pretty. Is there any real depth to you?â
originaldisaster:
âMore than my fair share.â
âMm. Been there.â
justxjenna:
âHey, weâve all been there. I donât know about sweet, but I think the grill is always hiring. Itâs not a very glamorous job, but itâs something. If youâve got a diploma or GED, the real estate company I work for is looking for a receptionist. We donât get a lot of business, so itâs pretty easy.â
âGED it is. They still offer those?â Maybe there was an online thing. Heâd have to hit Bonnie up about it. Any records Kai had would be too old to pass off as his own, so of course it was the only option he had. âI wouldnât mind the hookup, Miss...?â
justxjenna:
âOh, are you new in town? We donât really get a ton of visitors. Anyway, thereâs a B&B three blocks down mainstreet. It smells like mothballs and the woman who runs it is ancient, but itâs cheap and has great water pressure.â
âActually, Iâm couch hopping. Cheapâs good when youâve got a dime to your name but uh, havenât gotten to that point yet. Know of any sweet job opportunities instead?â
eldestsalvctore:
âCanât help it.â Damon replied. âItâs a part of my personality by this point.â
âI wouldnât go that far.â
