One Last Race, Another Sweet Sweet Victory!!

This was it, the final race. The final chance for another trophy into my ever-growing catalogue. Now you may be asking yourselves, if you have so many of them, why do you worry about missing out on another one? I worry about missing out on one because even though these tourneys are for fun, having the trophy means a lot, as it’s a sign of determination. Not only that, but due to the crazy nature of the tracks, this sport is dangerous and can lead to someone dying. With that out of the way, let me get into the thing you’re all here for, the last race of the ‘Legacy Cup’. This race took place in the snowy track of DK Summit. This track was hone to a handful of bottomless pits (like the last 3), but what separated it from the rest was the one halfpipe section towards the end. Within this section, there’s a special type of snow that slows racers down. That’s not all, Shy Guys are also residing there, so you’ll find them skiing up and down. All of the laps went in my favor, as I got every item needed at said times, and prevented the racer behind me throughout to not get an item. Arguably my best performance in the entire cup. I managed to finish the tourney with a 1-point difference in 1st with my brother Luigi. I go back to the Mushroom Kingdom celebrating another trophy and this experience as a whole. I rose, then fell hard, then rose back up. I just want to thank my fans, new and old, that took the time to follow me through this journey. I would also want to thank my competition as always. I’ll continue to bring you all smiles through everything I do!!

A Mixed Middle Point into the Cup

I’ll be honest, I felt very proud of myself after the last race. I fought until the very end, and I was rewarded for it. The middle portion of the cup, however, was a slippery one. For the 2nd race, I found myself Cheese Land. And yes, it’s as simplistic as it sounds. Being literally, a land completely made of cheese. Now as an Italian man, you may be thinking to yourself, this sounds amazing. WELL, YOU’RE WRONG!! The whole track is filled with holes deep enough to end all hopes of finishing in 1st. The 1st and 2nd laps had one thing in common, and that was that it could’ve been anyone’s race. The holes I mentioned earlier can be very difficult to deal with, ESPECIALLY with items in the mix. However, things got a little interesting during the last lap. Luigi, yet again, was giving me a harder time than the rest as he seemed to never run out of ammunition in the form of green and red shells. The action wasn’t just on us 2, as the other 10 racers found themselves quickly changing positions with the rapid use of bullet bills and super stars. The lap ended with Luigi just barely passing me and he emerged at 1st place while I got 2nd. Next up, was Mushroom City. This track was infamous for being crowded with ongoing traffic and for its rule of only being able to be raced on at night. I’m gonna flat out just say, that this was the absolute WORST race I had in the entire cup. I ended up in last place and 3rd overall with Luigi in 1st. This last race was my last chance to emerge leader of the cup, and I needed everything to go in my favor.

The Beginning of a New Tourney

I had just gotten back from saving Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches. Word on the Mushroom Kingdom is that I’ve been invited to a kart-racing tournament known, as the ‘Legacy Cup’ with him. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? I just stopped him and now he’s gonna be my opponent. Mamma mia, guess I can’t catch a break from this Koopa. I accept, and I meet up with some of my pals. I then learn that I’m gonna be racing with but not limited to: Luigi, Toad, Bowser (shaking my head), Rosalina, Daisy, Peach, Yoshi, Koopa, Donkey Kong, Waluigi, and Wario. Boo, Goomba, and Paratroopa were also there, but they were merely passing by. We all left, and got ready to head to our 1st track, Waluigi Pinball. This track has always scared me, as towards the end, the racer’s find themselves in a pinball-type area (flippers, balls, bumpers and all). During the 1st lap, I knew that my main worry would be Luigi. Don’t get me wrong, everyone on the track is experienced and troublesome. But Luigi, he in my opinion, was a cut above the rest when it came to racing and all the other fun activities, we find ourselves doing. In the 2nd lap. Luigi dodged everything I threw at him, even somehow managing to dodge the homing red shells. Reaching the 3rd lap, I managed to pick up 3 red shells, timing each one and hitting Luigi with all of them. This was enough to diminish all momentum he had, and I quickly zoomed past him and claimed 1st. I was ecstatic to have won the way I did, and I only hoped that this luck would continue for the rest of the tourney. Not everyone was happy though, especially my bro considering this look he gave me.
