Dr. Hopper (aka Doc or Hopp) is an ex-Sinyala-medical-staff–now-reagent because he kept doing personal experiments without authorization and Easterman got sick of it. Hopp has deluded himself into believing he is doing "field work" by doing trials, and that Easterman did NOT throw him away to die.
He is obsessed with experimental surgeries and research, and if you need a surgery or new limb, he's your guy! ....it'll cost you, though.

Outlast Trials Sona - likes getting into fights with Pitchers and befriending grunts (also fights the grunts). Doesn't take much of anything seriously, and has no interest in leaving the facility. For simplicity, their name is Lantern.

Carlos - is a WIP lore-wise, but he's based on the male Hard Grunt model with the tubes bc he is my favorite :] He and Lantern got in a fight that ended with Carlos stabbing his eye out by accident, and they've been friends ever since!

How did Hopper get involved with Murkoff in the first place?

Hopper was a promising surgeon who did a lot of good work with various amputations and surgeries. he had a pretty solid track record with patients surviving, but his disposition made him difficult to work with. Murkoff expressed an interest in hiring him, and it was all downhill from there ahah
he did very good work when tasked to do surgeries on reagents or ex-pops, but he began to grow an interest in doing his own experiments and surgeries without authorization. one too many dead or altered patients resulted in Easterman ultimately deciding to toss Hopper in with the reagents and hope that solved the problem.
nowadays Hopper just runs around the sleep rooms and trials terrorizing everyone else!

i cant even begin to mention how absolutely distraught i am over this he was the father of heavy metal him and black sabbath quite literally made it and to see an idol who i grew up loving die just days after his final concert it hurts so much man
we love you ozzy thank you so much for all youve done for the metal scene
Another Trials art dump.. I keep thinking "oh i'll draw a bunch for this specific character and then make a post centered around them" but nooooo I can't stop bouncing around to different ones and we get this instead.
first 2 are a grunt and the beloved (pitcher), next 2 are my and my friend's ocs + sonas interacting (@moon-mage44 @novvexx ) and last 2 are wip ocs of mine!

okay soo, talking about Kenneth! he's pretty much a niche crossover character from a movie i'm obsessed with (Love Object (2003)). i plan on making a second reagent oc who's also from the movie (Lisa), but she's a wip design wise rn.
spoilers for Love Object below just fyi:
Kenneth's main thing is that he is dating an abusive mannequin named Nikki who keeps telling him to 'bring her to life' [this would theoretically be done by killing a woman and putting Nikki's soul into their body] but he keeps falling in love with the women he's supposed to kill and then tries to leave his relationship with Nikki for them. every single time; shit goes sideways, he goes crawling back to Nikki, she convinces him to kill them, then he's back at square one.
he wants to leave her, but at the same time he feels like she's the only one who will love him for who he is.
he has been struggling with this since before he was put in the facility - it's actually the reason he's there. he got caught after killing/trying to kill 3 or so women, and he ended up at Sinyala.
info on Judy:
she is my wip Prime Asset! Judy started off as a young singer who threw away all connections and friendships to achieve her dream of marrying young and securing a solid place in life. but she lost it all after an attack that left her disfigured.
she got lucky with a new singing gig a few years down the line- one that let her wear a face covering and helped her build a new image. her original personality blended with her trauma and sudden new stage persona, creating a fascinating blend that quickly grew an almost cult-like following of fans. she thrived under the attention, quickly growing an almost god complex from it that became her downfall.
Murkoff picked her up after a particularly bad stunt she pulled, and she's been a Prime Asset since.
there's so many little details i kept having to stop myself from adding in before this post got a mile long, hopefully that all makes sense.. and if it doesn't, you should totally send me asks so i can elaborate :]
