20.10.21 - we did have a stop at the Flora MacDonald memorial yesterday where a couple of things struck me. First; the part of the signage saying it was the second plaque there as the first one had been made off with by various historical tourists with a bent for vandalism. Second, the memorial to Alexander McQueen is very close by and it really made me think a lot about life, mental health and the support we give each other in society. His death was so fucking sad even back then, and still is now. There was something quite moving about the choice for the place for his ashes to be scattered, given a heritage that meant so much to him despite not having lived here.
