I just read the most devastating Harry Potter oneshot on AO3

The pairing is Harry Potter/George Weasley. It starts off in Harry’s 5th year when George heals Harry’s hand. Harry begins to have a crush on George when he realizes George cares about him. He thinks the crush is unrequited and that George has a girlfriend.

After the twins leave Hogwarts, Harry writes letters for George that he burns almost immediately, never sending them.

Then after the Battle of Hogwarts, after Fred dies, George and Harry leave Fred’s funeral. They sleep together and Harry brings up George healing his hand.
