Pairing: Jason Scott x Reader
Notes: This is my first request so I am super excited! I really hope you like it! And if any readers want to read it as being 2017 Jason go ahead but it is more specific to OG Jason!
Prompt: Hey! Could you please do a Jason (MMPR) x reader where she’s friends with the crew and suspects they’re the power rangers, but doesn’t say anything, then she asks Jason about it sometime.

Jason looked over at you,”Hm?”
“I said, are you coming over to study tonight. We have a chem test tomorrow. Plus you said if we finish early that you’ll take me out to get a milkshake. Ya’know since you missed our last 3 dates.”
“Right Right…” He trailed off again. You let out a sigh and stirred your straw in the smoothie. He noticed your irritation so he took your hand in his,” I’m sorry babe, things have been crazy lately, I’ve had a lot on my mind. I’ll make it up to you.”
You looked up from your smoothie and to him,” Promise?”
He kissed your hand and smiled ,”Promise.”
You smiled and stopped stirring your smoothie. You looked at your watch ,”Well we still have 30 minutes to kill before heading to my place. Should we just go grab that shakes now?”
“Sure. Let me just grab my ja-“, all the sudden his communicator started going off. You looksd at him in defeat. You never understood what it meant. All you understood was that it signaled your boyfriend leaving and ditching you. He frowned,” Sorry babe, I have to take this.”
He got up and ran off. Sadly you didn’t see him for the rest of the night. So it was another failed attempt at making up for the lack of time you two had spent together.
That night you had the strangest dream. Jason was the red ranger and the rest of your friends were the others. You woke up and tried to piece the dream together, “No…. It cant be…… could it?”
The rest of the day you thought about the dream. I mean on one hand it would make sense. The fact that they wear the same color clothes every day, there were as many of them as there were power rangers, the fact that they always had to leave when their bracelets went off. But you just didn’t understand why Jason wouldn’t tell you.
After school that day you headed to Ernie’s Juice Bar. You knew it would be a good place to get your mind off things for a bit. Sadly it didn’t work as well as you hoped.
“How did you on your chem test today?” Trini asked.
“Honestly I think Billy’s tutoring is starting to pay off”, you smiled.
Billy walked up,” hey Y/N, hey Trini.”
Trini said hi and you waved.
“Trini can I borrow you for a second? I need help with this new machine I’ve been working on.”
“Of course, see you later Y/N.”
As soon as she left you were once again lost in your thoughts.
“Y/N? Are you alright?”, Kimberly got down from the balance beam and sat down beside you, “you’ve been totally spacing out all day.”
“Hm? Oh yeah I’m alright. I just had this really strange dream last night. I’m sure its nothing though.”
Kimberly smiled,” Well if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m always here.”
Jason came running in, “Y/N! There you are!”
You huffed and Kimberly giggled,” I’ll be right over there if you need me.”
She got up and walked away. Waving at Jason as she left. Jason waved back before turning to you ,” Look about last night-“
“Don’t sweat it. I didn’t really expect much else.”
“Y/N, Baby, please listen to me.”
“Look its really no big deal”, you started to stir your straw in your smoothie again. Jason was quick to notice.
“I know you stir your smoothie when you’re irritated. Please just let me explain.”
“Jason, why do you wear red all the time?”
He huffed out a laugh but stopped himself from giving a smartelec remark when he realized you were serious. He coughed,” Well uh Red is my favorite color. You know this baby.”
Your crossed your arms,” well Y/F/C is my favorite color but I don’t wear it every single day.”
His communicator went off and you rolled your eyes. He sighed and mumbled something to himself before getting up. He walked over to you and kissed your cheek,” Don’t think about it too much.”
He ran off and you were left to your thoughts. You grabbed your school bag and left Ernie’s. It was a beautiful day outside so you decided a walk in the park would be good.
“Aaaaahhhhhh look if it isn’t the Red Rangers precious little flower!”
“But Rita I don’t see a flower! Just anothing human!” Squatt yelled scratching his head.
Rita rolled her eyes,” Could you be an more insolent! The flower is code name for the girl!”
Goldar spoke up,” What do you plan on doing Rita?”
“Well if she is his flower then how we detroy a flower?”
“With pestiside?” Baboo asked
“NO! Why do I even ask anymore! Fenster! Give me a bug monster now!”
“Right away Rita!” Fenster immediately got to work.
You walked down the path.
“I just don’t understand why Jason wouldn’t tell me. I’m trustworthy. I wouldn’t tell anyone. And if Jason is the red ranger then the others have to be the other rangers. Kim, Pink. Billy, Blue. Trini, Yellow. Tommy, Green. Zack, Black. I mean they wear the same colors every single day and they’re are the same amount of them as there are the Power Rangers. They all leave at the same time when their bracelets all go off at the exact same time. Either its an incredible coincidence or I’m on to something.”
Your thoughts were interupted when I group up Putty Patrolers surrounded you. You panicked and started to back up quickly. You felt a slimy hand grab your shoulder. You turned around to see a a huge Japanese Beetle looking monster. You screamed and tried to back away but the Putty Patrolers grabbed you.
“Rangers! There is a group of Putty Patrolers in the park! Look into the veiwing globe!”
All the rangers walked over to the veiwing globe.
“Ew what is that gross bug thing!” Kimberly’s face distorted into disgust.
“It looks like a Popillia Japonica,” Billy looked around at all the confused faces,” a Japanese Beetle.”
Tommy spoke up,” wait, it looks like the Putty Patrolers have someone.”
Trini’s expression turned to concern when she realized who it was,” Oh no, its Y/N!”
Jason internally panicked when he heard that. Why would Rita go after you. Of course it would be to get to him. Jason quickly walked away and grabbed his morpher, “We need to go now!”
Zordon’s voice boomed out, “Wait Jason! This could easily be a trap! Rangers you must have a plan going into this!”
“Will all due respect Zordon I’m not going to just sit back and watch when they’ve got my girl.”
“Zordon’s right Jason, this all seems too easy, there must be something we aren’t seeing. Aye-ye-ye.” Alpha 5 quickly went to the scanners.
Kimberly walked up to Jason and put a hand on his shoulder,” We’re all worried about her Jason, but rushing in unprepared and falling right into Rita’s trap isn’t going to help her.”
Jason frowned, “This is all my fault. If I had just made time for her then none of this would have happened.”
Zack walked up,” Don’t sweat it man. Rita knows that Y/N is your weak point and that she is an easy target. This is all Rita’s doing, not yours.”
Jason nodded and Zack patted him on the back,” I promise you we’ll get to her on time.”
Jason ran a hand down the back of his neck,” I hope so.”
“Let me go!”, you struggled against the Putty’s grasp. Suddenly the Red and Blue rangers appeared.
The Red Ranger shouted out,” Let her go!”
The monster laughed,” Two rangers? This should be fun!”
Then four more rangers appeared.
The green one shouted out,” try seven!”
The four that just appeared started fighting the monster while the two clostest two you fought the Putties. The Red Ranger was quick to your aid. He fought off the putties holding you,” Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just a little shaken.” You nodded. You knew that voice. It couldn’t be…. could it? Jason?
“Get to safety! I’m sure a pretty girl like you has a boyfriend who is worried sick about her!”
“Right!” You ran off and back to the Juice bar.
The next morning you finally had a plan formulated. It was Saturday which meant Jason would be doing his early morning work out. There wouldn’t be only but maybe two other people there this early. You walked in and went up to the juice bar. You smiled brightly,” goodmorning Ernie!”
“Someone is happy today!”
“Yep! I just have an incredibly strong feeling that today is going to be a good day!”
“Well that’s fantastic! Now what can I get you to drink?”
“For me a (favorite type of smoothie) and for Jason….. hmmmmm do his usual for Saturday mornings.”
After a few minutes he handed you the smoothies and you said thank you before happily moving over towards where Jason was weight lifting. You set the smoothies down on the nearest table. You moved over to Jason and leaned over his face.
Jason immediately rested the weights down before sitting up and smiling at you,” what are doing here so early?”
“Thought I would visit my favorite man at my favorite place,” You smiled and grabbed his towel while dabbing his forehead,” also I got you your favorite smoothie, its over on the table.”
“You seem cheerful today.”
“You’ll never guess what happened to me yesterday!”
“I got to meet the Power Rangers!”
“I know right! Oh I wish you could have seen the Red Ranger! He was the coolest!”
Jason smirked,” Really. Tell me more.”
“He was so brave. The monster had me but the red ranger jumped right in and saved me. He was so strong and muscular. Oh and his voice. He is just so…” You sighed dreamily.
Jason’s smirk widened…. well that was until he realized you didn’t know he was the Red Ranger. In your head you were talking about a completely different person. He frowned,” what’s so great about this Red guy anyways.”
“What’s so great about him? Jason he’s the red ranger!” You knew you had him now.
“Do my ears decieve me? Is Jason Lee Scott jealous?”
“So what! I don’t need to compete with some guy running around in red spandex!”
“You’re right, you don’t.”
He looked at you confused.
“Can I ask you a question.”
“Why do you think the Red Ranger wears red all the time?”
“I dunno, maybe its a status symbol?”
“Really? Because I think its because its his favorite color.”
Jason froze. You knew. He didn’t know how but you knew.
“Jason I have one last question for you and I need you to be completely honest with me,” you looked around to make sure no one was close enough to hear,” Are you the Red Ranger?”
Jason knew he couldn’t lie. He grabbed your arm and walked over to the locker room where no one was,” look I swore not to tell anybody. I’m just going to say yes or no. Whatever I say stays right here between you and me.”
You nodded. He looked around then back at you,” Yes.”
“That means the others are the other rangers.”
He nodded. You smiled and kissed him, “lets get back to our smoothies.”
You two walked to the table and sat down. You looked over at him,” Are you gonna be alright?”
He smiled,” Yeah… honestly its such a relief that you know….. speaking of which…. how did you figure it out.”
You smirked,” you guys really should try wearing different colors of clothing.”
