I usually do not get emotional over a song... Except with Avril. Her music has just something I can’t describe. “Warrior” made me cry the first time I listened to it and this version, “We Are Warriors”, just seizes your heart in a gentle grasp and seems to take away the pain, as if she is saying “You are okay, you are not alone, we will make it, together.” I can imagine everybody in the world singing this together.

“Head Above Water” and “Warrior” were written in the past years but they seem to be made EXACTLY for the times we are living in right now. Please, even if Avril Lavigne does not make the kind of music you like, take a moment to listen to these songs: they are powerful and bring hope and courage! She has survived a serious illness and her music reflects her personal struggle for her life but now more than ever it can become a powerful message to unite us all, plus it will help a charity too. Avril is very involved in her own Foundation and takes very seriously the importance of give back to those who are less lucky.

A plea for help

Hi to anyone this ever reaches out to. 

I’m in a bit of a desperate pickle right now. 

I not too long ago moved from one side of the UK to another due to escaping domestic abuse which has unfortunately been the norm for me my entire life up until recent when I was able to get away and change this. 

It took me nearly a year of working hard with added extra shifts to be able to raise enough for me to be able to raise two months of advance rent, plus all the little necessities needed to survive. (Food, being able to pay for electric etc!)

I am now in a safe place but don’t know many people around me (I live next to an elderly couple who aren’t the friendliest) and I am currently having a period, to which I am three days into and it doesn’t seem to be getting any lighter (sorry for the gross info was also diagnosed with endo at 13)

I am FTM and will be starting to get this ball rolling soon, but until then, I still have the current internal struggles as women do. 

I am asking if anyone could possibly help me get a fare to my local town to pick up a few things and then for me to be able to buy a few things whilst I’m there plus a fare back. In total probably around £40 and I am more than happy to pay this back once I get settled into my new job (2 weeks!) and get my first pay.
