" he ( gently ) shoves him out of the doorway, handing over the desired amount; the one delivery man looks unsurprised, but laughs at their bickering, seemingly having had to deal with koga and rei for a long time now. lowly does the other man comment on the two of them looking like a married couple before congratulating them and leaving koga looking a bit flustered. " what a dick. " he says softly and allbut stomps to the table.

        ‘ wanko — ’  a complaint  ( he is aware that while koga can sustain himself ,  his economic situation is not one to throw away money  —  he’d much rather pay for him )  that is about to fall from his mouth is cut short ;  he resigns himself to pouting on the sidelines as he watches the exchange .

         however ,  his lips quickly curl into a small smile at their conversation ,  a soft laugh threatening to come out at his boyfriend’s reaction  ( adorable ,  really ) .  ‘ how rude of you ,  to not even let me say goodbye to him , ’  cheek resting upon his palm ,  he makes himself comfortable on the table ,  eyes following the puppy’s movements closely ,  ‘ hm ?  do you not like the idea of marriage ,  koga ? ’  he pretends to be sad  —  perhaps poking fun at someone who has paid for your meal is a bit mean ,  but he considers himself generous for not doing it in front of the delivery man ,  ‘ how sad .  i personally enjoy entertaining the idea of seeing you dressed in white for a change .  you’d look rather handsome ~ ’

calloused hand has a tight grip on the others shirt, forcing him down to his height before he kisses him - rather softly on the lips, pulling away with a softened blush on his cheeks before pushing a pretty small package into his hands. " happy birthday bast- rei. " he says, eyebrows furrowed but with a smirk; the package is neatly wrapped in black paper ( he obviously wasnt the one wrapping it ) with silver string and contains a new necklace with a cross on it; matchin the one he is wearing.

it’s his birthday ☆ !  ( sorta )

          despite the rough handling ,  a laugh bubbles from rei’s throat .  his doggy is really cute ,  isn’t he ?  ‘ thank you ,  koga .  such a small package ,  i wonder what my doggy got me ♪  perhaps i should buy you a doggy treat in return , ’  he teases ,  shaking the box in an attempt to figure out what’s inside .  he’s unlucky ,  though ,  as he still has no clue and resigns himself to opening it .

          ‘ hm ? ’  there’s a small noise of confusion as he examines the necklace ,  mostly because it resembles the one he already has .  perhaps koga didn’t notice ?  he turns to the boy to thank him anyway when  —  oh ,  so he’s wearing a matching one ,  ‘ koga ,  i didnt take you for quite the romantic ~ ’  he grins ,  handing his boyfriend the necklace back and turning around ,  holding his hair up in his hands ,  ‘ be a good boy and help me put it on ,  will you ? ’
