welcome to my ted talk about how similiar inho and hannibal are:
• traumatizing past made them who they are. hannibal lost his all his family brutally and forced to eat his own sister's meat while held captive. inho lost his job even he did not take bribe, and after winning brutal survival games he found out he lost his wife and unborn baby.
• we can say that they both have calm and kind demeanor, and pay attention to manners a lot remembering inho's harsh reaction every time someone made a scene. hannibal doesn't even counts ill-mannered ones as people. "eat the rude."
• they both create a new persona for approaching those who intrigues them.inho creates young-il with manners and appearance alike people from the first games and during the hobb case investigation, hannibal killed as "copycat killer" to help point will in the right direction.
they both find similiarities in their opponents. i think that's why inho sincerely wanted gihun to leave and be happy with his family and for hannibal, as he says himself, “we're just alike. this gives you the capacity to deceive me and be deceived by me”
•they both observe will and gihun's reactions very attentively, create different situations to analyze and then manipulate them as they like.
•despite the general situation puts them in enemy positions, they value their opponents very deeply and choose to show a snippets of their true selves. i believe inho's(for gihun to be happy with game's prize) and hannibal's (leaving all behind with abigail) wish was sincere.
