It probably comes as no surprise, but if Clair had specialized in any other type of Pokemon other than dragon it would have been water Pokemon! She appreciates their grace and versatility. Trainers like Wallace, Siebold, and Nessa are people she admires because of their showmanship and style. Clair is a very strong swimmer and was taught to meditate underneath the roar of waterfalls. In fact, her gym outfit effortlessly doubles as a swimsuit (once the cape is removed). This was intentional as much of her dragon-type training takes place against the currents of cave rivers in Blackthorn.

Thank you very much for responding! I’d be super interested in seeing how their dynamic would play out! At the very least I think they’d definitely get along, given their shared(?) Atlas-complex and love of theatrics. Maybe one day they can debate the merits of how Charizard are raised in their respective regions, the shared history between kanjohto and galar, or have a grand battle and some oolong tea afterwards. :^) She’s only a little bit of a sore loser!  If he still needs someone to help coax him out of the closet, she’s very frank and might be able to assist after trust is established. Whatever character development you’re looking to work on, chances are she can help out!

If her last intrusions were anything to go by, he’d likely hear a knock where ever he was in 3........2.................1- Well, at least she was predictable. But how’d she know where to find him?!

“Seeing as how you look like you haven’t had a proper meal in three days, I can understand why you would involve yourself in something as low as stealing.”  Clair’s tone portrays a stern judgement, contrary to the empathy her word choice might have implied. She didn’t have the full story behind the act, but she was certainly about to get to the bottom of it. “And I wouldn’t suggest fleeing, either. Once Mekong has a scent, she is particularly relentless.” On cue, Kommo-o emerges from a nearby alleyway and clangs a tail against the ground to reinforce that promise.  Though Clair wasn’t in the business of frightening children, she knew some things couldn’t be avoided. If an obvious Pokemon trainer was stealing, it either meant that they were in league with villains or they were struggling. She intended to discern which.
