I love a good au where someone just gets to be normal. Hot take of mine: I think if Severus ever ended up marrying anyone, it wouldn’t be anyone from the series. This builds off my take that Severus can’t have a happy ending at Hogwarts, he needs to leave to grow. I think he would end up with a muggleborn or straight up muggle for the narrative irony of it.
