Day 20: Favorite Miss Honey

I love how Jill’s Miss Honey seems very scared and pathetic, but at the same time very mad at herself for being that way. And I can understand being mad at yourself for who you are, but not being able to change it. I really wish I could see Haley Flaherty in the role though, from what I’ve seen and heard of her she is incredible.

Back in 2012 Jill did the limited run of this show called Tokyo Confidential. It was … interesting. The only reason I saw it four times is because she sung about 80% of the score, and it was heaven. But, as for the show itself? Um, it needed work. But, I’ll post the two songs that were the highlights. This song basically became my sole reason of seeing this show so many times. This is one of the last songs, after the big plot twist was revealed. Jill's character just found out the one guy she thought was her friend wanted to basically skin her alive to frame the full back tattoo she now has. So, this song she's trying to figure out at what point the guy started to plan to skin her, if she could ever trust him. It's a very weird little show, but Jill sung the crap out of this song.

This was one of the first songs. Jill sings it with her dead husband (I know.) He was killed in some war back in the 1800's, he loved Japan. So, Isabella (Jill) travels to Japan to try to reconnect with him. And they are singing about that. This song was in my head for a while after. It's catchy.

Hi, I was wondering if you could possibly post some diologue from your recording of Milly, maybe some of the stories or something in the classroom, as I've never really heard much at all from Milly, Jill or Craig and I would love to hear their portrayl. Since you've seen all the Matildas (you're so lucky!) do you have a favourite? Great blog btw!
