Hadestown (2017, Off-Broadway) - Digital Booklet Pics
In order to compensate for the fact that someone decided Cats needed to not have cats in it, we will replace the human characters in at least one musical with cats. We are hosting a poll to determine which musical will go full Jellicle in order to restore the balance of the universe, lest we unleash the flesh monster which resides in Patti Lupone's basement.
Which musical should now have a cast consisting entirely of cats?
Wicked
Chicago
Moulin Rouge
Six (propaganda: female cats are called queens)
Hadestown
Be More Chill
Little Shop of Horrors
The Phantom of the Opera
Heathers
Something else (please inform us of your pick (of the litter))
Dracula, a Comedy of Terrors || Interview with the Vampire (2022-)
Ancient vampires assimmilating into modern society.
hey you!
do you like weird musicals? do you like discussing shows and older versions of shows that don't play on broadway? do you like working in the theater or seeing as much new work as you can? come on down to the Discord Repertory Theater, a discord server focusing on musicals (and plays!) that are not on Broadway!
We have places to talk shows that were never planned for Broadway such as Ghost Quartet, Ride the Cyclone or anything by Starkid, as well as shows that went through changes on the road to Broadway such as Hadestown and the Great Comet! We've also got dedicated channels for shows you see and are working on, so you can discuss your passion for theater with other like minded people! come join us :D
Check out the Discord Repertory Theater community on Discord - hang out with 7 other members and enjoy free voice and text chat.

DOA's 2025 Year in Review
Returning once again with my Year in Review. This year, I saw a record 214 shows. These included everything from traditional Broadway to a fascinating nude body horror ballet in which a performer was pierced live on stage and performed aerial suspension stunts.
Other unique experiences include: watching Kate Baldwin watch Jonathan Groff in Just in Time from the center table; an investor presentation of three new Korean musicals they hope to bring to the US; a heartfelt memorial service for the late Linda Lavin (for which I stood on line next to Bebe Neuwirth for over half an hour); seeing at least one show a day for the entire month of February (an experience, while fun, I shan't be repeating).
