TN - Thoughts on the ending

I have to confess somewhere around the camp arc it felt like the author was starting to wrap up the story quickly. The pacing didn't seem to be so fast in earlier chapters. But maybe it's just me.

Never the less i still think Talentless Nana had a good ending. Especially since it's rushed I think it's better they kept the ending bittersweet and open like that. I like that Rin thinks about how it's possible to get along with her brother again as his sister and to know that Jin is seemingly still doing ok somehow. Even if his future still seems unsure.

The moment between Nana and Nanao was... narratively confusing. Because it seemed like all prior development never happened. But I guess it was to show that he is in a very bad shape right now?

The final end where we see Nana coming to see and "half parting" with Michiru was done really well. It felt really emotional, not knowing what the future will hold for everyone now. And her confessing to her how she is actually talentless really rounds up with the series title and ending the story.

I think it would be nice if they think about maybe making an epilogue some day. I really want to see what happens after the surgery. 🥹

I did some research on the flowers. They seem to be red zinnias ❤️💐 They stand for endurance, preservation and inner strength. In Japan apparently they are also known as 100 day flower and represent lasting affection, endurance, and thoughts of absent friends.

Talentless Nana - Finale…and…

I have read the last Talentless Nana chapter-!!😳Have to share my thoughts later because it‘s very late over here right now. But i found something interesting on the ending page of the raws:

They‘re telling us to look forward to a new project.

It’s not revealed what kind yet and whether it could be related to Talentless Nana. Just wanted to share this because it‘s little informations like these sometimes that don‘t get translated for mangaup. Maybe it's just a standard phrase but it lets you hope 🙏

like lenalee lee is such a good character. kidnapped and forced into fighting a war at the age of 6. canonically depressed with fits of catatonia. beloved little sister and mascot to the entire science team at the child soldier factory. passive aggressive. cries all the time except when she’s flat eyed and dissociating during a fight. so cute and polite and brave that it’s easy to not notice the constant simmering undercurrent of trauma she radiates until you go on one mission with her and it instantly becomes obvious. sustains mortal injuries and a dramatic symbolic pixie cut during a solo battle. believes in vampires. gets genuinely furious with her friends over their self sacrificing behavior because she thinks it’s selfish and condescending to not let her die fighting next to them. would die in a heartbeat to save anyone she even remotely cares about. totally killed her coworker offscreen when they got possessed body-horror style while allen was screaming crying throwing up about how to save his. kickass boots. no formal education no real childhood one overprotective brother and a dream of maybe living to adulthood with her friends. definition of smiling through it all. lenalee lee you are everything.
