I Don’t Dance: An Analysis
Musical numbers embody the inner thoughts of monologue and the deep expression and emotion of music, providing a story of characterisation in a unique manner that only it’s medium can do. This musical number is no exception.
There have been a few songs and musical numbers that have become (b)iconic, expressing -intentionally or not- an experience and sensation that resonates with bisexuals such as Girls/Girls/Boys and I’m getting Bi, but it is High School Musical 2’s subtle story of the emotional confrontation between a flamboyant confident gay teenager and his closeted, defensive classmate, between Ryan and Chad, that I want to analyse today because I was listening to HSM2 songs and I’ve always had a lot of feelings about this and I might as well say it here even though I’m sure other people have done this already.

They've said death only visits you once, but I don't believe that...
I believe that he's walked with you throughout your life, and only grew distracted whenever a life was fading away
I believe death visited when my grandma's monitor's had made that beeping sound, death knocked and she opened
Death was there whenever I'd see a bug laying upside on my feet
My cat had been death when he's pounced on a bird singing on the branch
I have been death when an ant bit onto my skin in instinct
I don't think death is a singular moment that we meet once in our lives, they've always been beside, just waiting patiently for life to give up its place

hi. just a reminder your spirit didn’t break. it just shape-shifted into something quieter so it could sneak past the guards.
