i want to thank the fantine fan fest for pulling me out of my writing block, and fantine for possessing me so i could bang this out in three days. i don’t know what theme this fits into (or if it fits into a theme at all), but it was fun to write, so i wanted to drop it here.

The @fantinefanfest (this February) spurred me on to dig up my notes for my canon divergent Fantine/werewolf!Bahorel fic again:
The year is 1817. After Félix Tholomyès’ little suprise, a despairing Fantine thinks she might go to her hometown of M-sur-M to find work. Instead, she decides to find Tholomyès and make him acknowledge Cosette. Enter a young man who would love to have an excuse to travel South (as far away from the law faculty as possible) and is uniquely suited to hunting down terrible men…
The theme of this week is Fun which I have tried to capture as much as possible. It might be a romance, but the main ships are Fantine/Happiness, Fantine/Fun and Fantine/making her own choices. (and of course Cosette/a happy childhood with her mother and other kids to play with)

Well your humble mod is currently struggling with Technical Difficulties (being in Texas during an ice storm) , but Fantine Fan Fest is still live! The theme for this week is FUN-- in any era, any setting, Fantine deserves some fun! Art, fic, and any other kind of fanwork are welcome!
The fest isn't limited by the theme weeks, though-- post your Fantine fanworks on any theme, any time in February! And be sure to use the FantineFanFest tag, so we can find them! Let's all celebrate Fantine!

What: a whole month for all kinds of fanwork focusing on Fantine! When: the whole month of February! Wow! Where: Right here on Tumblr! We've got a blog here and everything (which I'll be fixing up very soon!) ! We'll reblog anything with the FantineFanFest tag through February! We're also looking at setting up an AO3 collection going for those who'd prefer that; updates on that as we go! How: Just make whatever Fantine fanworks your heart desires and tag them with the FantineFanFest tag!
