“Something tells me that’s not on the landlords to do list,” Destiny shrugged a little bit. “You think ghosts understand electricity? They’re just standing by the light switch going at it just to fuck with us?”
‘ okay but new question , ’ he raises , looking at his companion . ‘ what kind of ghost thinks it’s fun to just fuck around with the lighting ? go flip flip with a switch ? ’ he points out , raising a brow . ‘ —or are they like , low tiered or something . ’

“so..what do you think the likelihood of someone getting touched or, like, spoken to tonight is? because i’m not sure i’m in the most sociable mood today and i just don’t wanna come off as rude, y’know?” she was seated outside the motel, cigarette between her fingers as she looked up at whoever she was speaking to. “i don’t know if i could take knowing a ghost thought i was rude.”
‘ none to zero , ’ he says quickly , tapping off excess ash from his own cigarette . ‘ fuck if they think i’d be rude , ’ he adds quietly . ‘ but— okay , maybe you have a point there . just— i think it’s ruder for them not making themselves known easily . don’t you think ? ’

“okay,” he agreed with a nod, although the next words left him standing in silence for a few moments as he tried to think of anything else to talk about. eventually he landed on a simple, “uh, well, i’ve read some good books recently. have you?”
he chuckles , caught off - guard by the other’s admittance . ‘ well, damn . that’s more than i have i guess . ’ he continues to walk along the corridor , letting miles follow . ‘ what did you read about though ? ’

“i don’t know about that. i mean, i can think of worse places. i’ve been to worse places.” he found himself somewhat defending the place, even though he had been sick of it too just moments ago. “obviously i’m going to come,” he raised his shoulders in a motion that was meant to show nonchalance. “probably shouldn’t just let you wander around outside and alone in the dark in a town we’re not familiar with.”
he lets out a coo . ‘ aww , is little miles worried for me ? ’ he teases , shaking his head . ‘ i think it’s the other way around : you’ll be fine as long as you stick with me , on unfamiliar territory or not . ’ greyson takes his phone out , checking the time . ‘ —it’s still early anyway. what do you propose we actually do until then ? or do you still want to fake investigate ? ’
RIKA: i'm bored

“yeah, yeah…. yeah.” he says almost reassuring himself that he was indeed okay as asher asked. wyatt was a bit uneasy perhaps, but he could blame it on the clear sudden coldness and eeriness of the room. he could tell that he wasn’t crazy about that part at least as he sees asher shiver. “awesome,” he says pulling open the heavy chapel doors, making room for asher to leave first. “where were you headin’ to next? someplace that’s even creepier than the chapel probably?”
he exits first , giving an appreciative nod of his head as he passes wyatt . asher lets out a soft snort , before lifting his shoulders in a shrug . ‘ not sure yet , to be quite honest . i just— ’ he pauses , taking out his phone when he feels it vibrate . he frowns . ‘ —i just go where i’m needed . and it looks like i’m needed at .. ’ he trails off , squinting at his phone screen . ‘ what . ’
