I do really love the phrase "hold still".

To start, great imagery. 'Still' is a good word in any context, as most combination noun+verb+adjectives are. In particular, I love the way it compares you to a corpse or the night. Briefly without life. 'Hold' is of course very good. As if my hands are upon you and holding you there. I love when an order implies an external locus of control.

But, more than that, I love how well ingrained it is in so many subjects. Already trained into them. You know what's being asked of you, and you'll do it without thinking if I say it in the right tone. Maybe you'll grit your teeth and close your eyes depending on the associations, but you'll freeze for me at the very least. And that's really hot.

Both Griff and Guts are adorable in their own ways when they’re the one being loved and utterly overwhelmed XDD
