âVery well. Now, as this an initial dose, Iâm going to have to take my best guess. From there, weâll work to adjust it. If you find the medicine is affecting you too much one way or the other, we can reschedule the appointment for earlier, and try to get you onto something better. The medicine will come with a list of possible side-effects. I suggest you read them over, so youâll recognize if any of them crop up.â
Ford made a few notes on his clipboard, nodding. âNow, letâs see⊠Iâll pencil you in for exactly two weeks from now, same time. If you want to change it at any point, simply give the clinic a call. Iâm not in Arcadia every day of the week, but the other members of this facility should be able to take care of you, should your schedule demand it. As for your cost for today⊠I believe according to Dr. Trentâs pricing, it will be 1,000G.â
Everything he said made sense. Straightforward, and he wasnât trying to âlighten blowsâ or anything like some doctors had in the past. No baby talk, no skirting around the issue. And he was thankful, even as it remained unspoken to some degree. He wasnât about to unravel his whole life story to this guy, though. Henri was pretty sure he had the gist of the medical history at this rate, at least.
<<Okay. Iâll remember as best as I can and pay in the front.>>
...Were the phones here even compatible with that sort of thing? Messages, maybe? He hadnât brought a TTY or anything in his sudden move, so...Eh, heâd figure it out as best as he could. He was nothing if not adaptable.
<<You are a good doctor. Stay healthy. Thanks.>>
