Big Sean raises $100,000 to support residents of Flint, Michigan.
And this is a big deal.
In his interview with Trevor Noah, Bid Sean talked a lot about his new album and charity. His own foundation is called Sean Anderson Foundation and it’s mostly for children from poor areas. He and his mom who’s helping him organized a mogul program that gets kids keep in touch with people and professional careers to try and give them guidance. Big Sean also has a pen pal program that gets kids writing and connecting with children in Africa.
“It’s just cool to see the progression and the difference we made in a lot of people’s lives,” he said.
I wish there were more people like Big Sean.

In the alpine region, many traditions that predate Christianity are still alive and revered by the local folks. One of them is the “Klausentreiben” during the night of the sixth of December. Young males dress up like animalistic spirits, like the bear, the deer and the wolf, and roam the streets while making loud noise. That was supposed to banish the evil spirits from the underworld that were believed to gain strength during the long winternights, threatening the well-being of the village folks and their livestock.
youre gonna look so goddamn cool
lol some show i don’t watch recently made the assertion that “kids wait for their parents to apologize, parents wait for their kids to thank them, nobody ever gets what they want” and people are reblogging this photoset of the quote like “oh ouch, omg, sö trëü” and like. gag me lol good job attributing equal fault onto the person who DIDN’T have absolute power over the other’s literal survival. kids don’t need to say thank you and grovel in gratitude to parents who owe them an apology and won’t give it. and adults need to fucking grow up lol your child doesn’t owe you a thank-you, if you’re feeling so shitty about it go thank your own damn mom since she was so great. Fuck.
CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS AREN’T PEERS. PARENTS ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR CHILD. BECAUSE
THEY’RE THE ADULT
And parents need to apologize when they screw up. It doesn’t ruin your standing as a parent with your child; it can enhance it, if it’s sincere and followed by working to not make that mistake (whatever it was) again.
If you can do that as a parent, your children will probably thank you when they’re feeling appreciative of something you do.
also, when you apologize to your kid, don’t make it all about you and how you’re a terrible parent so that your kid is then forced to console you on your parenting skills, thus making your kid not want to tell you when you fuck up in the future… because THEY feel guilty…
(I say sorry to my kid whenever I fuck up, he thanks me for everything all the time. We are proof. Do the thing.)
