[ A giftbox has been left in the middle corridor. ]
[ It's white, tied together with a black ribbon that had bones as patterns.. it wasn't hard to guess who this was from. It had a note on top of the box. ]
[ The note read; “Fascia and I hope you're faring well. Visit the gallery soon, okay? I'll cover the artwork so you don't have to see. — Regards, Albina.” ]
[ The giftbox did not contain an artwork. Well, it did, but not built out of corpus. It contained a painting of Kira, which was painted with actual paints. The box also had some junk food.. where did she get that? ]
[ Gift from: @fasciahungers ]
| * It didn’t take long for Kira to notice a foreign object in her room—despite how extremely messy everything was, she roughly knew from memory where the important things were, having become so familiar with the layout of how she kept her stuff that something like this stood out nearly right away amidst the disastrous organization. You tend to eventually find some sort of order among the mess of trash heaps and piles of magazines after living in it for years.
| * The Middle apprentice gently picked up the box, carrying it at a slight distance from herself and placing it down on the sofa, before taking a seat beside it herself. The note was read right away and promptly put into her pocket, but unease due to who the sender was makes her hesitate, and causes her to delay opening the gift for a minute or two. Wings, please don’t be guts and gore. Please.
| * Eventually, the ribbon tying the box shut slowly comes undone, Kira carefully lifting the lid off and taking a peek inside.
| * Gloved hands reach within and take the portrait out, violet gaze captivated as she stared at a painting of herself. Multiple takes had to be taken to ensure there really wasn’t blood or corpse parts anywhere, not on the gift itself or within the box. Only once the Middle apprentice lets go of that doubt do her lips curl into a toothy smile.
| * If one were to look at the apprentice’s room a few minutes after, they’d see a new decoration has found home amidst other items in one of her most priced displays, right alongside it being a photocard with a purple paper frame and other small trinkets.
