Hello! I'm in the middle of a rewatch of The Office and am feeling inspired to get back into the RP world (used to be in GOT, TXF, and TSOL universes) as Pam Beesly. However, it's hard to write Pam without a Jim. I'm just under 30, looking for fellow 25+ writing partners, and used to RP for about 6 or so years when I was back in uni. I have a full-time job and partner, but have some down time to write during the day (WFM life. yay!). I'm not a fast writer and don't expect my partners to be either. It depends on the mood, of course! I'm willing to create a Pam blog here on Tumblr if I find a writing partner, and/or via Discord. I LOVE angst, fluff, smut, and plotting with writing partners. It's so fun to learn more things about OC characters and flesh them out. Let's create different servers for different plotlines?!?
I'd say my typical response is anywhere from 1-4 paragraphs, but to keep things quick and natural, I think 1-2 is my average. Again, it really depends on the day and the mood, but I'll never send just a one-liner and some asterisks to show actions. I definitely like to write in third person singular, be it present (preferred) or past tense.
I'm always happy to be friends OOC of course! I've met some amazing people rping here on Tumblr, some of whom I'm still good friends with. <3 Feel free to message me on Discord if you want to chat about writing with each other. I'd say for now, my go-to, top fandoms are The Office and Parks and Rec. Let's fangirl about Jim x Pam and Leslie x Ben?? Thank you! Here's my discord; feel free to add me! : beesly_pam

On the set of ‘Twin Peaks’
I’m Audrey Horne and I get what I want.
Heart so full. Pictures by alexbowler on flickr.
Twin Peaks Season 1 ( Sentence Starters )
“She’s dead…wrapped in plastic.”
“There are many stories in _____. Some of them are sad, some funny. Some of them are stories of madness, of violence. Some are ordinary. Yet they all have about them a sense of mystery: the mystery of life.”
“It is a story of many, but begins with one – and I knew her.”
“Never seen so many trees in my life.”
“_____, I’ll see you in my dreams.”
“_____, I’m holding in my hand a small box of chocolate bunnies.”
“That’s what you do in a town where a yellow light still means slow down and not speed up.”
“Behind all things are reasons.”
“Reasons can even explain the absurd.”
“You know, this is – excuse me – a damn fine cup of coffee!”
“Black as midnight on a moonless night.”
“I hear that you’re real good at what you do.”
“Normally, if a stranger walked into my station talking this kind of crap, he’d be looking for his teeth two blocks up.”
“You may think I’ve gone insane, but I promise, I will kill again.”
“There is a sadness in this world, for we are ignorant of many things.”
“Then the day when the sadness comes, we ask: ‘Will this sadness which makes me cry, will this sadness which makes me cry my heart out, will it ever end?’ The answer, of course, is yes.”
“Will this sadness which makes me cry, will this sadness which makes me cry my heart out, will it ever end?“
“One day the sadness will end.”
“Nothing beats the taste sensation when maple syrup collides with ham.”
“You’re the most cold-blooded man I’ve ever seen!”
“I’ve never in my life met a man with so little regard for human frailty.”
“Have you no compassion?”
“I just ask you to get the hell out of my way, so that I can finish my work. Is that clear?”
“I’ve had just about enough of you and your insults.”
“Oh yeah, well I’ve had about enough of morons and half-wits, dolts, dunces, dullards, and dumbells, and you, you chowder-head yokel, you blithering hayseed, you’ve had enough of me?”
“He hit me!”
“Well, I’m sure he meant to do that.”
“Maybe you should have a little talk with _____.”
“_____ doesn’t talk, he hits.”
“The fire I speak of is not a kind fire.”
“You’ll have to excuse me this morning, I’m running late. I only have time for coffee.”
“Well maybe I could go with you.”
“Wednesdays were traditionally a school day when I was your age.”
“I can’t believe you were ever my age.”
“What did you see that night?”
“_____ wanted to die.”
“What else did she tell you? Did she tell you that there was no goodness in the world?”
“Every time it got harder to go back up into the light.”
“I’m telling you this because I don’t want to have any secrets from you. I don’t want there to be any lies between us.”
“It’s the secrets people keep that destroy any chance they have of happiness and I don’t want us to be like that.”
“Sometimes when we see the eyes – those horrible times when we see the eyes that have no soul – then we know a darkness.”
“Where is the beauty? There is none if the eyes are soulless.”
“Do you like to gamble, _____?”
“_____, I’m going to let you in on a little secret.”
“Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it, don’t wait for it, just let it happen.”
“A present? Like Christmas?”
“Ah, man, that hits the spot. Nothing like a great cup of black coffee.”
“What’s up, doc?”
“Just a few words before I go to sleep.”
“I feel like I’m going to dream tonight. Big bad ones.”
“That’ll be my little secret, okay?”
“I’m going to go down and get us two malts and some fries downstairs. Then I want you to tell me all your troubles.”
“That could take all night.”
“Now, I’m going to get the food, and you’re going to get dressed.”
“I can’t tell you all my secrets.”
“Secrets are dangerous things, _____.”
“Do you have any secrets?”
“_____ had a lot of secrets.”
“Finding those out is my job.”
By the time the sun nestles itself below the sweeping expanse of Douglas firs, Dale finds himself back at The Great Northern Hotel. It’s a rarity for him to finish the day’s work at any time around sunset, and he’s more than prepared to enjoy it.
So, a few minutes after changing into more casual attire and setting paperwork down in his hotel room, it’s no surprise that he strides into the common dining area and takes a seat. He props up the menu and, having already decided what he wants —- breakfast for dinner —- promptly sets it back down. A satisfied twist of the lips ensues, then, and he idly looks to the window.
When he hears the sound of footsteps approaching, his ears prick up and he allows the smile to grow a short bit wider. His eyes immediately move from the window to the person now opposite him.
“And good evening to you!” The mix of happiness and matter-of-factness that makes up his words would be best followed by a salute, but he does no such thing. Indeed, he simply stands and nods his head in acknowledgement.
“Please, feel free to join. I’m planning on sampling some of this great place’s omlettes. I’ve only heard the best of reviews.”
Twin Peaks + Text Posts (round 8)
(more text peaks) (more meme peaks)
“I must say, your responding move was nothing if not reflective of your predilection for the tidy and fastidious.”
“Diane, eleven o’clock in the morning. I appear to have stepped on a purple gemstone while walking outside The Great Northern Hotel here in Twin Peaks.”
Cooper crouches to pick up the stone, smooth and polished between his index finger and thumb.
“I wonder if this gem,” pun intended, “of a find will contribute to our case. In Tibet, you know, gemstones are generally thought to contain healing properties. This could lead us somewhere,” he adds thoughtfully. “Now, Diane, I wonder why it’s placed so deliberately—-”
He switches off his tape recorder in an instant when he spots the figure walking towards him. Up on his feet again, he slips the stone into the breast pocket of his vest and offers a nod of acknowledgement.
“Perfect timing! I’d say it’s well-past time to get some coffee. Wouldn’t you?”
