As they left the mansion, Jonghun took up the place closest to the road out of habit. His mother hadn’t been around all that often but when she was damn did she give him a piece of her mind whenever he forgot to open the door for a girl. Or anyone for that matter. 

Letting the thoughts slip from his mind, Jonghun put his hand into the left pants pocket of his dark jeans, slipping his thumb through the currently unused belt-loop. Taking the lead by a small margin, he led them around the corner at the bottom of the hill and towards the town. At her question he smiled back at her, “It’s been good. Woke up, got ready, went to the front of the mansion.” He laughed lightly, his eyes turning into half-moons. “I have insomnia and it took a while for me to fall asleep last night.” Reaching up to scratch his collarbone through the black of his t-shirt, he shrugged his shoulders slightly, a useless gesture but it seemed appropriate. 

“What about you? Stay up late thinking about how to beat me at pool next time?” He cocked an eyebrow, his tone joking and his mouth pulled up at the corner in a suppressed smile. 

At they reached the coffee house he was familiar with, Jonghun pulled open the door and gestured for her to walk in. “They have a variety of drinks so I’m sure there’ll be something you like. I’m guessing….. cold drinks? Nothing too strong and just the right amount of sweet?”

[/smile slips as she squints at the paper in the girl’s hand, then glances back down at her own stack. there’s no way to tell if that single sheet is even important, considering that the pile is out of order. it could just be a cover sheet, or it could be financial records. she could walk back and take the paper back, but she decides she’d rather just make the other do the work — ] What’s it say?

(/smiles in a slight menacing way and looks down to read the top of the paper and skim over the content quickly; shrugs) Nothing much.. (/looks down at the paper again) Just some stats about money and financial reporting stuff. Did you need it back?

He had been staring at her who was straightening her hair and her clothes as well and he was feeling sorry for her. If he wasn’t being too clumsy for a man, he wouldn’t be causing her to do so. Kyungsoo still had this certain feelings for her—not that he had ever felt for her in a romantic manner, it was more of like pain, regret and guilt all combined together. Mix all of it together and you get this feeling for the rest of your life. He felt guilty for leaving her without saying a word, but what can a five year old boy done to make it happen? His parents decision was a last minute one and he couldn’t help himself. 

As he stared into her eyes; those memories were suddenly being replayed again to only make him feel more sorry for the girl. The girl that he had cherished so much for having involved in his childhood and for the guilt that he had been keeping inside after he left her. Kyungsoo had always thought of her ever since he was living in London was reminded of her when he was working with the NSS in Seoul. He would go up and check her from afar and had done nothing to go up to her to confront her because he didn’t know how to face her since he had always this reminder of her being able not to forgive him for what he did. 

Kyungsoo nodded his head slowly in response as his name being called out. “I’m sorry. So sorry.” He muttered, the words had slipped out his tongue very automatically for him and he didn’t bother if the camera was watching them. “You’ve grown into quite the beautiful lady, Joohyun!” He exclaimed in joy as per flashing his smile to her, not knowing how would she feel about his compliment. It was sincere after all, but to some, it might come across as ‘fake’.

I really do plan to stick around until rf is completely dead, which I think are probably the thoughts of some others. Soo, if you want to plot, just like this post or something.

Growing up, Kyungsoo had this one particular childhood friend he happens to be close with. Even when he lived mostly of his life in London, he had the privilege to reside at his father’s hometown—Seoul. Kyungsoo had always enjoyed living there as the company of his, or his childhood playmate in other words would be there for him in the times of need. As he had cherished her so much, he was very sad to leave her as his family moved to London and to his disappointment, he never had the chance to get in touch with her.

The memories had been so vivid, and so vague at the same time for him. He would remember her from time to time. That is, if his thoughts wasn’t clouded by his deceased lover on most of the times. He remembered the play-dates they had, the times they spent together, and the promise that he had failed to keep to her. To be best friends forever and would stick through thick and thin together. He was ashamed of himself for that, but that was something that was inevitable for him. Though through his work, he had done a series of background checks on her, and was relieved that she was doing just fine without him.

He walked along the hallways with such thoughts like feeling regretful and shame scrambled through his mind. If he could make up to her for his behavior all those years, he wouldn’t think twice to do it. Kyungsoo ran his fingers through his hair—unaware that someone who was walking up to him as well and resulted for them to experience a bump towards one another. As his quick reflexes acted, he managed to grab the unlucky girl by the arms. Holding her off from falling down due to his clumsiness. 

“I’m sorry.” He bowed apologetically, before shifting his eyes back to hers and a sudden pang came to him. It can’t be, its her isn’t it? As the back of his mind spoke, he recognize the girl very quickly. With her distinctive features, who would be able to forget such a beauty with a gentle face of hers? “Joohyun?” He spoke gently, as if it was a faint whisper.

Seohyun had been mentally forming her to do list, whispering words to herself and using her fingers to enhance the memory process. She had checked that the coast was clear earlier and therefore focused more on own thoughts that her surroundings. Of course, it turned out to be a bad choice; she felt a sudden collision with another object - body - and luckily another hand had grabbed her before she fell completely.

Straightening her hair and fixing her clothes, she mumbled a quick sorry before hearing her name. However if wasn't by a name that everyone knew her by, it was her actual name, Joohyun, and hardly anyone knew. She looked up to study the face of the person who called out her name and there was no sense of familiarity, until she reached his eyes. Those pair of eyes she could remember anywhere.

With identifying who he was, memories started rapidly flooding Seohyun's brain; those playdates they had, those times where he made her cry, those times where they made up easily, just those times when they were young. As if in chronological order, she winced slightly as the memories of how he left without warning left little five-year-old Seohyun crying for days. 

"Kyungsoo?" the name came out of her mouth so naturally, yet it felt so foreign. Maybe it was just that she never expected to ever see him again.

Leaning against the end rail of mansion staircase, Jonghun found it more comfortable than standing like a sentry. He also found that if he put his hands into his pockets and avoided eye contact people would stop trying to talk to him. Normally he wouldn’t mind the conversation and the opportunity to dig up their secrets but right now he was waiting for someone and he always found it rude when he saw men talking to their friends then a girl walked up. It just didn’t seem right. 

Hearing his name being called by a familiar voice, Jonghun looked up, a bright smile spreading across his features as he straightened, no longer leaning. “Seohyun,” he returned, bowing his head slightly. “Glad you could make it.” Running his eyes over her, his smile continued, a little less bright now and more…. like him. “You look beautiful.”

“Ready for that drink? I was thinking coffee, I know a place down the road a ways that had drinks I think you’ll like. But if you’re not much of a coffee person there’s also a bubble tea beside it.” Although he didn’t know much about bubble tea he figured if coffee wasn’t her thing bubble tea might be. It seemed like an overwhelmingly female drink based on who he’d seen walking out of the place.

Seohyun beamed into a polite smile at the compliment. "Thanks. You look quite charming yourself." Seohyun eyed his outfit complimenting him and the compliment she previously spoken was quite the truth; he was quite charming, but maybe not really Seohyun's preference of charming.

A quiet laugh escaped from Seohyun's mouth as she heard how prepared with his plan he was if the original choice was ruined because of her liking. "I'm fine with either, really." She shrugged. Seohyun wasn't much of a picky person, more or less could satisfy her needs. "But since your plan was originally for the coffee, coffee will do it." 

With the destined location confirmed, the two headed out toward the coffee shop. Because Seohyun still wasn't quite familiar with the area around the mansion and didn't know the coffee shop which Jonghun spoke of, she gladly followed his lead. 

Seohyun had a thing for observing people closely and trying to figure them out that way. Maybe it was because of her selfless trait and she just liked figuring out people to somehow help them in the long run, or it was just her plainly her curiosity. With what she observed from the guy so far from just minutes ago to the poo game from yesterday, she knew that he had quite a story hidden with such a distinct personality.

With much deliberation, she posed a simple question. "How was your day today?"

Apparently so. [/continues walking, not realizing that she’d dropped one of the files (but even if she did realize, she might have too much pride to stop her exit and pick it up) ; turns around right before she’s out of sight — ] By the way.. it was quite a pleasure meeting you. Let’s do this again sometime! [/smiles overly enthusiastically — ]

(/stands up with the piece of paper in her hand and watched the girl walk away; slightly shocked that the girl turned back but gently pushed the thought out) Maybe she realized that she dropped a sheet (/lightly chuckles to self) It was quite my pleasure too. (/waves paper in the air) By the way, missing something?

Nocturnal!

12 AM. That clock had read midnight, yet Seohyun wasn’t feeling tired at all. Staying in her room wasn’t helping her at all fall asleep any faster; it just seemed like a long night where the thoughts in her head wouldn’t rest and kept running miles and miles. 

With nothing better to do in the room, Seohyun grabbed her jacket off the rack and walked out of her room and down the hall. Without much deliberation, she found herself at the first floor of the mansion, heading toward the door to head on outside. But, a strange sense of sound seemed to draw her into a curious state, and Seohyun found herself walking toward the sound and not outside. 

As she got closer to the sound, she could make out that the sound was some sort of music for dancing — a more dramatic type of dance. She found the music originating from one of the room, and peeked through the doorway to see a girl during various movements with her body to the rhythm of the music through the dim lights; she was very talented, indeed. 

Time passed as Seohyun watched the girl in awe. When the girl turned her head to see Seohyun standing there watching her, Seohyun sheepishly smiled in embarrassment, not sure if the girl caught on to her embarrassed state through the dimness of the room. She strode a coupled steps into the room and explained why she was there. “I couldn’t sleep, decided to take a walk outside, but somehow the music that you were dancing to seemed to capture me here.” She scratched the top of her head awkwardly, feeling the slight tension in the room. “You’re really good, by the way!”

Much to her surprise, the girl explained herself as to why she was dancing during the late hours and didn’t mind Seohyun being there, for she longed a little bit of companionship. The two included themselves in a mini chat with introductions of each other and just talking about what topics were brought up. With the tension eased between the two, the girl — who Seohyun found out was called Jieun — invited her to stay in the room as she continued to practice. 

Not rejecting the invitation, Seohyun sat toward the corner of the room and brought her knees to her chest while adjusting herself comfortably on the floor knowing that she might be in here for a while. With the music resuming as if no interruptions had been made, Jieun started moving her body gracefully to the music again. Seohyun found herself quite immersed into the dance routine; actually so immersed that she seemed to fall asleep to it after a while. 

When Seohyun had woke up in the morning, she felt another pang of embarrassment; Seohyun had fallen asleep on Jieun and the girl was already gone.

Venting out all her anger made Suzy pretty tired. She took a deep breath once she finished and just closed her eyes, listening to her friend speak instead. The words that came out of the other’s mouth made a lot of sense, much better than anything she could say in her anger-filled moment. “You’re right,” she acknowledged, picturing her young daughter and only thinking about the life she wished she could give her. “It’s better Jaekyung not know that awful man. He doesn’t deserve to be called her father anyways.”

She opened her eyes, finding that the other was looking straight at her. “Positively.” She repeated after Seohyun, unsure if she could really do it. “I just haven’t been a very positive person lately…” She muttered to herself, rubbing her face with her hands. “Okay, from now on, I will just forget about him. He’s ruining the one life I have to live and that’s not fair, right?” She tried to smile, the start of what she hoped would be a future of optimism no matter how hard it was going to be. It was going to take time for her to change out of her new cynical self to become the girl she had once been.

Seohyun gave Suzy a more than full smile, happy that her words were once again influencing her for a good cause. Seohyun saw the determination in the younger girl, and knew that she was going to try for a change; she knew that a big part of it was because of her daughter -- having a child does change ones mentality about maturity. "That's the way to think." She nodded giving Suzy her approval of her decision.

Seohyun looked around the room knowing that the topic of Luhan was dead and shouldn't be brought up again or else the younger lad would start doubting herself once again. She noticed a couple more boxes sitting in the corner of the room screaming to be unpacked. Deciding to change the topic and kill the silence, Seohyun opened her mouth to talk, "Do you need help unpacking those boxes over there?" She nodded her head in the direction where the boxes were.

➳ Amiable Bond / Tia & Seohyun

Seohyun's shopping temptation seemed to be raging inside her today for some reason. Once she had woken up this morning and grabbed a nearby magazine to flip through for morning refreshment, somehow her mind because itchy with the thought of shopping.

Letting her desires manipulate her body and mentality, Seohyun had gone toward the shopping areas of New Seoul. After an indefinite amount of time and money spent, Seohyun decided to call it quits and headed toward a cafe before returning back to the mansion.

Finding an empty table toward the corner of the mini shop, she plopped herself down, drained from the excessive amount of shopping she had just finished. She placed her handful of shopping bags on the floor before standing up again and walking to the front to order her drink.

The cafe seemed to be quite busy and Seohyun added herself as an addition to the line. She already knew what she was going to order, so there was no deliberation but only boredom while standing in line. She looked around the the cafe trying to find something interesting to do. While she turned her head toward the back of shop, she noticed the person standing in line behind her was seemingly familiar. Tia.

Seohyun greeted the younger girl with a smile and the lad seemed to have recognized her too. "Oh my goodness, Tia!" Seohyun pulled Tia into a quick hug. "Woah, you've grown again." Seohyun jokingly said, breaking into her maternal role.

With the mere loss to a game of pool, Seohyun had accepted an offer out for a drink -- there was nothing wrong with making a new friend, right? Though Seohyun didn't have exactly the greatest impression of the question the male had asked her, she's didn't want to regret an offer and seem... rude. Maybe rude wasn't the right word to use; Seohyun didn't want to seem like two much of a goody- two shoe. 

After spending much time getting ready, for she really did care for her appearance and adjusting to a more feminine look took her time, Seohyun headed out from her suite. With her shoes clanking on the cement with every step, she soon arrived to the destined place where they were meeting where she already saw the familiar looking silhouette there waiting. 

Seohyun walked closer to this still mysterious guy and greeted him with a smile. She briefly studied his outward appearance; he dressed the way he seemed.. a captivating type of mysterious. Seohyun didn't typically hang around those with a familiar aura as him, but Seohyun was just too nice to give up an offer; not to mention, Seohyun was also curious. The case of curiosity killed the cat cold seriously apply to her. Her curious nature would mostly likely put her in threat one day, but the guy standing in front of her didn't seem to give off a danger alert. Giving him another smile, Seohyun spoke her verbal greeting. "Well, hello there, Jonghun."

[/wrinkles her nose — ] Fairly certain, yes. Now, if you’re all done wasting my time.. [/readjusts her grip on the stack of papers in her hand and starts to head for her suite — ]

(/makes exaggerated disapproving sounds) Tsk, tsk, tsk. Me and wasting your time does sound like a compatible pair huh? (/watches the girl turn around and walk away while a piece of paper flies out from the stack; walks over to the sheet of paper and crouches over picking it up; opens mouth to call out for the girl but closes it not knowing how to address her)
