Me: cool video and form of art!!
Me realizing it's about a beautiful lesbian couple and their gay son:
My heart:
my biology professor has such a chaotic energy about him, last week i went to his office hours and somehow we ended up on the topic of gay marriage:
he said that when he lived in texas they changed the law to define marriage as “between a man and a woman in a house of religious worship with the intention to have children” so he filed his taxes as single and when they called him up like “you filed married last year” he was like “you changed the law, i was married by a judge in a courthouse and i have no intention of having kids” and they told him “you know who that law was for” and i guess he hung up on them and did not, in fact, pay taxes as a married man that year
Chaotic good
NO! This is Lawful Good! He is following the LAW! Chaotic doesn't just mean cheeky!
this is like how Sweden stopped classifying homosexuality as an illness because people started a campaign of calling in gay to work
malicious compliance is one of the best tools in the arsenal of civil rights activism
Always reblog for malicious compliance
(Crawls out of my grave.)
I still exist.
Unions are trash. Theyll Destroy a whole company for firing a shitty worker.
unions are the reason you aren’t paid 2.50 an hour with steel beams about to bust ya head open shut up lol
Unions are why you have 5 day, 40 hour full-time work weeks. Unions are why they have to pay you in actual dollars instead of “company credits” that you can only spend at the company-owned stores. Unions are why there are fucking fire exits at your place of work. Unions are why it’s not okay for your supermarket ground beef to be any percentage human.
You think your company pays you out of the goodness of their hearts? Or even out of “market pressure?” The “job market” is a myth perpetuated by the capitalists. Corporations would pay you nothing if they could get away with it. And you argue “oh, but if they paid me nothing I’d just go to another one.” Wrong. Because to maximize profits, they all want to pay you nothing. Corporations exist to maximize profits while reducing risk for investors. It’s part of their entire function to find ways to cut costs as much as possible, and that includes finding ways to pay you nothing.
Unions are your defense against that. You think all a union does is strike? If you pay union dues, a lot of that is spent on lobbyists in various governments reminding your lawmakers that you have rights as a living human being that a corporation should not be able to stomp all over. Unions hire lawyers so that if you’re fired for bullshit reasons, the union can stand up for you against your boss. They’re called unions because workers are uniting to pool resources so that they can stand up to these corporate overlords with more money than God. Unions exist because you might not have the words, resources, or time to fight workplace injustices all by yourself. That’s the whole fucking point.
And if a business shuts down because a union is striking, it’s because the business was abusing people and didn’t deserve to be in business anyway. Don’t make excuses for the corporations. They already have trillions of dollars and a couple million lawyers to do that for themselves. They don’t need your help.
The erasure of labor history from US history curriculum has caused so much fucking damage to this country.

Panic would be soon met by dread and relief. Lucina’s mind cooling down for a moment at the soft, protective voice of her mother ringing through her ears, only for the memories of the days prior to come back, how she pointed her blade at her own mother, she would hide under the covers if she could. Cringing at her own mistakes, she put on the toughest face she could, showing a face as if she wasn’t wanting to cry.
“M-mother…” She whispers, trying to keep her voice from cracking, hiding tears painfully. She could only move her head, as to not let her get out.
The paralysis itself was put there by Lissa and Maribelle, both coming to the agreement that it would be for the best, for the Princess’s own health. Everyone knew that the bluenette was entirely the type to get up at the crack of dawn, and go to bed last. This was to prevent that and let her admittedly strained and pained body to heal. Lucina was guilty of continuing to force her body to work, even if she was in severe pain. She also had a habit of avoiding seeing healing until she absolutely had to. This was due to her own mind saying that she couldn’t be hurt or sick, she had to change fate.
The two clerics had given Robin the advice of, when she wakes up, dispel the magic, (with a spell that had written into one of her notebooks.) and get her some food, taking it slowly. The two healers had to do some serious healing as Lucina had more partial injuries and even a very slightly cracked bone, something she never said a word about.
“G-gods… I can’t move…” She would mumble, trying a failed effort to get up once again.
❝ It’s alright, ❞ The woman started, fumbling for her notes that she’d kept at her daughter’s bedside. She thumbed her way through the sheets of parchment, filled with tactical notes she’d been working on here while Lucina slept, until finding the correct sheet. ❝ It’s just a spell, my love, I’ll remove it here in a second. ❞ She took the paper, uttering the words on it, before lifting her gaze back up to her daughter.
Cautiously, a hand raised to push a stray lock of hair behind Lucina’s ear. ❝ Your aunt thought it best you get some rest, you’ve been running yourself ragged. ❞ A sigh escaped her lips at this, in truth Robin blamed herself. If only she’d kept a closer eye out. ❝ Lucina, I do not blame you for what occurred the other night, I need you to know this. ❞
It felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted off her body, and now she could move.
Lucina would sit up after the spell was released, visibly wincing in discomfort as her still slowly healing body forced itself up to see her mother a little better. Though she would avoid her gaze for a moment.
Lissa may be young, but she was a studious one, somebody who had been practicing healing magic for years, healing was her specialty, and in her professional opinion, Lucina shouldn't be up and about, much less fighting, for at least another two weeks. Her body simply hasn't had the time to recover. Sure the staff healing does speed along the process greatly but there is only so much that could be done with it.
"Mother... gods... I could have ended... Morgan's very existence and... I know you will never blame me for it, but I can't find it in my heart... to forgive myself." She trailed off, maintaining a strained voice, but holding back years again, her body shaking once more. She tries to blink her tears away, putting a hand on Robin's shoulder.
"I heard we are going to see... The Voice... Tiki... I... we, need to speak to her... maybe there is a way out... to end this nightmare and... finally... maybe only have to worry about restoring home..."
fatedexaltlucina:
Nightmares, something that occurred almost every night to the princess. Even in her adult years, unresolved anxiety would creep up at times to plague her dreams. One dream would often play on her mental stage, one of her father, lying dead on the ground in the castle, everyone else around her, collapsing one by one. Then the screech, something… She couldn’t describe it. She would run outside, only to see the massive, multi mountain sized dragon, obliterating everything in it’s view with its breath, the breath eventually hitting the princess, and all would go dark. This is usually when the girl would bolt upwards in a cold sweat in the early morning hours, it had happened so many times she could rehearse it by heart, that is, if she ever opened up to someone about it. Lucina had a bad habit of keeping things to herself…
Not this time.
Lucina found herself in the bustling town of I’d Yilistole, merchants and entertainers calling out to people to come see them. It felt, safe. The sky was a clear blue too, something she hadn’t seen in literal years before she made the time jump.
“This is some kind of trap.” She thinks to herself, Still kind of stunned at how… calm this was compared to what her usual was. She was just waiting for the metaphorical jab to the gut. Yet it never came.
Lucina would explore the town, almost as if this was a foreign place. Of course, she knew this place down to the last small crack in the brick. During all this, she didn’t let her guard down, Still expecting something to jump out.
The dream ended softly with Robin coming to get her after a long day of just wandering, ending with climbing into bed, and promptly sleeping.
–
Lucina would wake up in the dark, her tent having blackout coverings, as to try to help her sleep. She couldn’t move. Even if she tried to, panic started to creep her way in, had she been captured?! She didn’t know, like how she had slept for two whole days, and that the tent wasn’t great at keeping in sound…
“W-what?! G-gods!” Try as she might, she couldn’t move.
Carefully, her husband had carried their eldest daughter to her own tent that night, the two of them tucking in the princess as if she were their infant back in the castle- Robin taking extra care to press a kiss to her daughter’s forehead. Hopefully, such an act would help ward off any nightmares.
For two whole days, their daughter slept, Robin checking in every hour to search for any sign of stirring. The young woman was so exhausted, that much was clear, and with all she had endured, it was no wonder. Such a rest was deserved, even if the queen wished she could get her daughter to wake for a meal.
Making her way back towards Lucina’s tent to check on her, yelling reached the woman’s ears. She quickened her pace to a run, throwing open the tent door at once. “Lucina?” She started, making her way to the princess’ bedside. “It’s alright, you’re safe.”
Panic would be soon met by dread and relief. It was true that Lucina had been avoiding sleep for much of the past few weeks. She rested little for her own racing mind and anxious heart forbade her from doing so. There was just so much that could be done, she couldn’t let her future… her nightmare, her personal hell, come true once again.
It wasn’t true that Lucina didn’t have happy memories with her parents, quite the contrary. It was just all these past several months… years… had made it difficult to let the princess reminisce about what good she had In her memory. She could remember a few happy memories but those were few and far between, most of her memory being occupied by all the fighting, death, the scent of it all, Grima, and Owain’s half-assed attempt at soup.
The girl would look up at her with a throbbing headache, mostly due to the intense sobbing that the female had done for the past ten minutes.
“How can you forgiv…” Lucina would try to say, her voice trailing off as exhaustion finally caught up to the bluenette, sleep finally overtaking the girl for the first time in actual weeks. The crying stopped, and the girl lain resting in her mother’s embrace, Asleep.
She could tell her daughter had been avoiding sleep, and her suspicions told her the reasoning had to do with nightmares. Such a thing wouldn’t surprise the woman, after all the tragedy and loss her daughter had witnessed was far too great to shoulder.
At the look on Lucina’s face, the way her voice had cut off and she’d promptly fallen asleep from sheer exhaustion, Robin felt her heartache. She’d been through so much, so much more than she should ever have had to survive. Robin couldn’t blame her for what Lucina had tried to do, how she had tried to take her life. After all, she was the reason her future came to being, it was a good strategy if she was being honest. Nevertheless, she wanted her daughter to know that it was alright, that she wasn’t angry or upset with her. If anything the only frustration she held was with herself. She had done this, even if indirectly, now all she could was ensure that this wouldn’t occur again.
Holding Lucina close, as if to guard the young woman from any nightmares, she thread her fingers through the long blue locks she had inherited from her father. “I promise you Lucina, I will protect you this time.”

Brown hues looked over the young woman in her arms, noting the way she clung to her being, the redness in her eyes. Gods, when was the last time she had slept through the night? Continuing to rub circles on Lucina’s back she felt guilt settle upon their chest. Her daughter had grown up in so much pain, surrounded by war and death, because somewhere, she had gone wrong. Just months ago she held a newborn in her arms, promising to protect her at all costs, and time had proven that in the future she’d broken that promise.
‘I’ll protect her now, her future will not come to pass.’ If there was one thing Robin refused to allow, that was her daughter reliving all she had endured. Both of them she would protect.
“Rest my dear, you’ve thrown yourself from one battle to the next, but your father and I are here now. I promise you Lucina, we will not fail you again.”
It was true that Lucina had been avoiding sleep for much of the past few weeks. She rested little for her own racing mind and anxious heart forbade her from doing so. There was just so much that could be done, she couldn't let her future... her nightmare, her personal hell, come true once again.

"I-if... A-anything happened to you..." The very idea of Robin- her beloved mother, the one she looked to for guidance above all else, vanished into thin air once again? It was just as painful as any knife stabbing into her skin, if not more so. Lucina looks up to her mom in the eye, tears flowing freely from her eyes, she realized she couldn't do it. She could never hold the blade up to her own mother's neck. Now Falchion lay in the dirt, and the two, one comforting the other behind the sunset.
The truth her daughter had just revealed; that she is the reason they are in this situation in the first place, sits so uncomfortably in the pit of the tactician’s stomach. She is the reason Lucina stands before her, so engulfed in agony she had just held a blade pointed to her own mother. Gods, it couldn’t be true, she would never kill Chrom, never submit anyone let alone her own daughter to such pain. And yet the her of Lucina’s time had.
“Lucina,” She starts, taking a step forward and trying not to let tears fall herself. She will cry in her own way later, but for now, her daughter needs her to be together. “My darling girl, you have done nothing wrong.”
Gods. How could Lucina even think of raising a blade to her mother? It's was a painful and deeply shameful thought to even think of. She had gone through hell to fix things, seeing people die while she was unable to stop it, now knowing what started it all, was her own mother? It shook Lucina to the bone.
Words by her Mother did seemingly little to calm a turbulent heart, though Lucina knew, even at the back of her mind that Robin had a knack for understanding and calming her daughter, her mind raced a mile a minute, mostly going in circles about how awful she was and how could she have even tried such an act. Words seemed to meld together into an incoherent mess of sobbing apologizes and shaking for a few minutes, finally the words stopped from the bluenette, attempting to try to get some actual sentences out. Despite this, her mouth would race again.
"H-how?" Was her first word out, coming from a cracking voice.
"How could you forgive me, your daughter for trying to kill you? I'm an awful daughter that you don't deserve..." she says bitterly, then burying her face within the tactician's coat, letting more tears flow out.
Ooc: if I owe you a reply, please dm me. I want to revive this account.
I'm alive, just busy
Ooc/Starter maybe?
*Holding up Lucina* "One future Exalt needs a mom to hug, totally free--"
Carefully approaching her daughter, Robin gently places a bundle of daisies into the girl's arms, before proceeding to tuck one behind her ear. "Happy Birthday Lucina, your father and I love you greatly."
Oh her beloved Mother. Always knowing what to do to make her smile. Lucina was truly blessed to have such loving and amazing parents. The bluenette stays still to let her place the flowers before embracing the woman with a hug.
"Thank you mother! This was perfect!" She says, a genuine smile plastered on her face. Sometimes... Life wasn't too bad, especially with her parents and friends by her side, she felt...
Like things were going to be okay.
Ooc: It's Lucina's birthday!
Feel free to send her some asks~
"I-I wasn't ready to say goodbye... I don't think I ever would of... The barren landscape... it's all so vivid in my head... I don't know if I can tolerate the images much longer... Than all the death... you and father..." Lucina mumbles, pulling her knees into a hug. She would lean against her large bed, trying to stay calm, taking deep, intentional breaths, while blinking, trying not to cry.
The way her daughter’s voice quivers as the speaks grips at Robin’s heart. From the moment she held the Lucina of this time in her arms for the first time, she swore she’d protect her daughter always; meeting her daughter as a young woman not much younger than herself had only strengthened this resolve. It was her fault the princess had endured so much trauma, so much pain.
She shifted slowly, coming to sit next to Lucina before gently wrapping an arm around the girl, her fingers running gentle circles on her back. It was clear she was close to tears, the trauma she had endured still so fresh, almost as if she’d never escaped it at all. ‘Maybe she hasn’t, the tactician thought to herself as she looked her daughter over. ‘her world fell apart and she joined the battle once again without any time to rest’
“You have survived so much Lucina.” Robin started, her voice soft as she spoke, a hand moving to tuck the girl’s long cobalt locks behind her ear. “I promise you I will not let your future come to pass; lean on your father and I, alright? We love you dearly, you do not have to bear this alone- not anymore”
The way Robin soothed her, it was something the bluenette would seemingly never be able to find words for. The gentle yet firm touch, her voice being just the right tone, it was like slipping into a warm bath after a long, hard day's training. But this was infinitely better.
Lucina didn't want to reveal this information about her mind. Not to anyone, ever. She was supposed to be the ever stalwart guardian of the future. Yet, Here she was, after dinner, Robin, with her ever sharp eye, noticing her daughter looking slightly... uncomfortable. (She wasn't the army's tactiction for nothing.) After coming into Lucy's Room while she was trying to get into bed, noticing more signs, shaking fists, etc. After some coaxing, this is how Lucy found herself being comforted by her caring, sharp mother.
Lucina fell slient for a moment, watching her mother do her best to comfort her daughter. Lucina looks to Robin, tired, Red eyes would be what Robin saw.
"I love you mom... I mean Mother!" She whispers to her, wanting to keep her voice down and not make a scene, even if it was her room, she would quickly correct herself as that wasn't what she usually said. Good Naga she was tired...
