————OH, SO SHE WAS LOST. That was … understandable. Koi was easy to get lost in if you were new. Added to the fact that some people weren’t inclined to help others, it made so much sense. Maybe that’s why Flameburst left to go search for the girl, maybe she knew that something was wrong. She wouldn’t put it past the feline - they were so much smarter then they looked. They were just lazy to act on it unless a reward was given somehow. Looks like she’s going to have to buy them some treats when she got the chance. ❝  Flameburst is a smart one && she does like helping people in need. She must have recognized && realized that you were lost.  ❞

❝  Well … people here aren’t as kind as you’d think. They’d rather continue on their day without stopping for anyone. Your home sounds a lot better in truth.  ❞ Hand reached down to run lithe fingers through soft fur, smiling at the purr she received in turn. Possible, one of the reasons why she left in the first place was how certain residence treated each other; Koi was such a fast-paced placed after the first few strange events. She needed an out, so she left.

However, when Corrin continued, moving away from the door as if the ginger needed to leave, she paused in confusion. Oh right, she had originally wanted to search for her roommate, only for her to return. ❝  Ah, actually I wasn’t going somewhere but rather, I was - uhh … going to look for you && Flameburst. It was getting late so … a-anyways uhm … this is very awkward … a-are you hungry ? You were out for a while now ?  ❞

Corrin gave a nod, yes she would much rather have been back in Hoshido with her family, this thought caused her eyes to glance down at the floor and her feet. To think people could be like that especially in a world that was as active and bustling like it was, well now Corrin was so much more determined to be the one to help everyone else! If no one was determined to look out for the new people then Corrin would do it all she needed to, to make new people feel more comfertable. Well now hearing her roommate Corrin took a step back in surprise her eyes quickly shooting back at the floor a sad look spreading across her face, so she made someone she didn’t even know worry about her, it spoke volumes about her roommate as well as make Corrin feel bad.

“Ah...Apologies i did not mean to make you worry about me so...I’m able to work my way around Hoshido and Nohr like the back of my hand, though i’ve spent almost no time exploring either of them...” Yes the talk had become awkward again Corrin never claimed to have expert conversational skills, but she did have a way with people, perhaps it wasn’t odd to think Corrin silently befriended someone. Well one way or another the subject was switched to food and honestly Corrin couldn’t deny she was very hungry, she was so busy exploring and finding her way back home that she had forgotten to get something to eat. “Oh, why yes i’m actually very hungry, i haven’t had much all day...something has been on my mind though and since you asked, it would be a good time to ask, can you cook?”

Corrin asked as she looked at the cats, certainly she was thankful for the help, but she couldn’t help but feel she should have met this girl before now, perhaps she may not have gotten lost. So the girl knew what people here were like, does that mean she had been here longer than Corrin had to be able to know that, did that mean she knew her way around the city and what all of those odd things were that Corrin kept seeing. Well now that she was watching the cats Corrin became more involved with wondering what the cats were doing rather than thinking about her own thoughts, apparently cats were very interesting.

There was something that smelled like burning and that had made Morgan concerned. He made Onyx stay down in his room, and left his quarters in search of the smell. The youth hoped that there wasn’t any casualty happening. Because that would be dreadful. He walked across the hallway, trying to make sure if anyone was alright.  Of course, there was no reason to actually do this, but he did this out of concern. As he kept walking the halls, the smell of the fire had gone away much to his relief. It must have been some small accident. He’s about to head back to his own room until someone had their the door very fast.

Of course, he wasn’t hit by the door but only by a smidgen. He was a bit taken a back by the suddenness, that he was a bit alarmed. The one who had came out was a female happened to apologize to him right away, despite not injuring him at all. Her words are loud and spoke fast but she was a bit understandable. She gave a worried look at him, but it dispersed fast as she now wondered if he actually got hit by the said door. “Goodness, missus you didn’t do a thing to me.” He replies, “But I suppose you figured that out already, didn’t you by now?” A smile rested on his face, as he took a step back.

A raised eyebrow at her last statement, but he ignores it in favor of other matters. “Well, with the fact I’m very much fine and not hurt out of the way, there’s something I had wanted to ask.” He waits as the girl closed the door, and begun speaking again. “I smelled something like fire earlier, so I came out to check. I wanted to know if you smelled it as well?” Well, there was something that had been bothering him as she came out of her room, an odd smell, but he ignored it for now.

Corrin’s face went from happy and glad he was fine to being very worried that the smell of her failed dish had caused mass worry among the other people living here. It was true Corrin was bad at making tea, but she thought cooking may have been different, she wasn’t wrong, cooking was much more difficult. Corrin started to sweat a bit as she listened to the male her eyes looking to her apartment's door where the smell had originated, she certainly didn’t intended for this to happen at all. Well there was only one thing to do, admit to her mistake and hopefully ease this person's worrying mind.

“That smell...was my cooking...I tried to make myself breakfast, but i failed horribly, Felicia makes cooking look so easy but i burned everything to state it emitted the smell of a burned taining dummy hit with a fire spell...” Corrin sighed and looked at the male with a nervous smile. “I’m sorry to have worried you...i am a terrible cook...” Corrin sighed and looked at the ground. “Anyways yeah! I’m glad your alright, it completely slipped my mind that other people might be walking around here...i was about to head out for today...maybe grab some food from one of those restaurants nearby or something.” 

Corrin said this and looked down the hallway and at the exit, she didn’t intend for anything like this to come out of her attempt to cook, but she should have known not to expect it to be easy. Corrin assumed since her maid Felicia was able to cook at least a decent meal that it would be very easy, it turned out the ingredients in this world were a bit different from hers, at least some of them. Well now Corrin  had explained everything now she just needed to turn and leave after telling the person goodbye, but her mind kicked in yet again. “Uh..i don’t actually know my way around very well...would you mind accompanying me?”

Although he couldn’t really consider himself to be much of a tea enthusiast (what had always got him through university days after an all nighter was a trusted cup of choco mocha) more than anything Minseok couldn’t help but enjoy scenery that was aesthetically pleasing. If nothing else, this entire city was something taken out of a fairy tale or an 19th century centred foreign film. Certainly his personage as a street artist focused more on the modern society and exposing the flaws of the present time human race, but that was simply COCO. When he drew or painted as Dong Minseok, he often focused on the beautiful. Capturing the hidden gems. A starlit night that could hardly be seen amongst the neon lights of Tokyo or Seoul. A garden of splendid flowers. Buildings still carrying the charm of yore.

Some might call him a romanticist, but there was just something truly breathtaking about places that were seemingly undisturbed by progress. Perhaps it was due to his conviction that humans were by nature evil and that everyone only truly cared for themselves that he could find beauty in such honest apparel. But even nature lied and deceived. Beneath the rose always lay thorns. Nothing in this world was truly unspoiled.

Although he didn’t really care to blend in right at this very moment, there was no denying that Minseok looked horribly out of place. Having barely touched the hot chocolate he had ordered, his drink now long cold, instead all his attention was focused partly on the easel before him, and partly on the view that spread behind it: the interior of the store, the decorations near the window and the bustle of the city going past outside. For now it was still nothing more than a sketch, but the details were drawn with pinpoint accuracy down to the smallest ornament in the tables.

So lost in his own world was Minseok that he didn’t even notice how full the café was actually becoming around him, until a voice from a table in his immediate vicinity spoke out. Not really hearing the words properly, his head darted up to locate the source, and the dark eyes fell on a very… outstanding young woman. He couldn’t really talk too loudly about extraordinary hair colours as he himself had been victim to such until just recently, but Minseok dared suggest that his own blonde had been far better than this. Wasn’t this girl supposed to stay in Harajuku or something like that. But he guessed that should he actually have been addressed by her, he should probably reply. As much of a chore as it seemed. But his therapist had often told him to not just ignore people who was speaking to him and at least try to engage in conversation with them. Thus he inquired: “I didn’t really hear that. Were you talking to me?”

Corrin’s head shot at the person who now spoke out, did she really speak loud enough to be heard? If she did or not now Corrin had unknowingly started a conversation she hadn’t even expected to start. Corrin too a moment to look at the person and quickly collect her thoughts, perhaps this was a chance to learn about this new world...or at least find the sugar. Corrin lifted her hand to her chin thinking even more, how to proceed with this situation, simply replying with a no would be pushing away a potential friend even if she didn’t mean to. Corrin closed her eyes giving a nod and looked the male in the eyes as if to show trust and respect to the male, such was her way of the Hoshidans...and most others.

“Oh um...not exactly, no, what i said wasn’t directed at anyone here other than myself...but perhaps you could assist me in finding something to sweeten my tea with? I’m...not exactly used to doing this myself.” Corrin admitted this quiet a soft red spreading on her face it was obvious she didn’t want to admit how dependant she actually had been on her servants and other friends. “If you could help me i would be very thankful...also i woke up here with a strange device on my person.” Corrin said this lifting up the phone to show it to the person, “Could you, by chance, tell me what this is and what it does? I have never seen this kind of object before in my life.”

Corrin said this a hesitant smile on her face, she assumed she was asking a lot, but it was pretty much general questions for now. Corrin had seen many odd things on her way here and eventually wanted to figure out what they were, but this was a stranger and she didn’t want to overload them with questions. Corrin’s free hand moved to rest on her book simply to make sure it was there still as her eyes wandered a bit spotting the easel and simply looking at it for a minute before moving her attention back to the person.

————FLAMEBURST WANDERED OFF AGAIN. BUT this time, she wasn’t worried. She knew where she was going, this was her old home after all. But what did concern her however was the lack of roommate. She knew that they were here first, that they slept in ( she always had the ginger tabby wake the other up before she left the housing ), that they would come back in the middle of the night. But … it was a little later then normal. Crimson hues shifted to the clock momentarily, lips pursed as she watched the second hand tick before looking down at her book. Let’s try && get her mind off of things. A book would do. Hopefully …

An hour later && still nothing, her thigh was bumping up && down in worry; this was getting ridiculous. Her cat && roommate were still out there at this hour, what were they doing ? A soft paw patted against her leg, Stormcloud staring at her; ah, she knew what he wanted. Might as well go search for them, Koi wasn’t that big. With that in mind, the ginger stood from the couch, novel placed on the table && feline following her towards the door. Jacket was slipped on as well as shoes but before her hand even reached the door, it was swung open.

Wincing at the sudden yelp as well as the book that was thrown, she was quick to step back, blinking at the thud of the book. ❝  Ah … s-so you’re Corrin ? I’m Seraphina, your roommate ? This is … awkward … oh, there you are Flameburst. So you went to go find her ?  ❞ Attention was drawn to the ginger tabby who nuzzled against her leg in greeting, casually padding into the apartment.

Corrin blinked at the mention of a certain word in the girl's speech, ‘roommate’ so whatever brought her here gave her a roommate, and said roommate owned two cats. Certainly it was awkward Corrin wasn’t even aware she had someone living with her, but the cats had to have come from somewhere Corrin guessed. Corrin slowly stepped inside making sure the door closed behind her and looked down at the cat that had guided her home. Honestly it was still surprising that Corrin had spotted the cat, rather convenient, but it wasn’t the weirdest thing she had seen. So the cat that guided her was named Flameburst, kind of an odd name for a cat, but it wasn’t like Corrin could actually think of a better name, it was probably named that for a certain reason. 

“So you’re my...roommate?” Corrin asked this giving the girl a questioning look, Corrin believed her 100%, but...what was having a roommate like? Was it like having a servant? Corrin found questions plaguing her mind and the only way to find out seemed to be was to admit her ignorance and ask, but to do so would disgrace Hoshido since she was the only current representative. Pushing that aside Corrin figured she should explain what happened. “Your cat...Flameburst was it? Guided me here...i lost focus thinking about my home and before i knew it i was in an area i had never seen before, i sat around thinking that people would nice like my home and help me, but no one came to help, then i happened to spot your cat...if it wasn’t for the cat i may not have made it back for several hours.”

Corrin said this with a disappointed tone, as if she was looking down on herself for getting lost so easily, though quickly she shook off that tone in favor of her more cheerful one. “Oh...you look like you were going to go somewhere, i’m sorry if i stopped you i’ll just...slip by here...” Corrin said this quickly moving first to pick up her book and then move to the side making the door easy to access without her being in the way just in case she was headed out. And though Corrin was more focused on the situations at hand her mind kept going back to the questions she had about having a roommate and her most asked in her mind was ‘can she cook? I’d do anything for a good meal that wasn’t made up of rations.’ Corrins eyes moved as if displaying she had something on her mind, perhaps it was a bit too obvious of a lead but she couldn’t help herself she knew image was important to the Hoshidans and she wanted to represent them well.

Cat-astrophe

Corrin hummed happily as she started her walk back to her home, she finally finished exploring the area around her home, now the challenge was to find her way back. Corrin walked for minutes upon end normally it would be easy to find her way back, but her mind was completely blanking because she remember what state her world was left in. So knowing that she was probably worrying people in her army made her lose track of her steps and take a few, ok a lot, of wrong turns. Soon enough Corrin came to her sense and she was in an area she had never been too before, though retracing her steps would be easy...if she had actually paid a bit of attention to the turns she took. So now lost and her extra time slipping away from her Corrin wandered the area with her guard up at all times though soon enough relizing she couldn’t find any landmarks she gave up on finding her way back until someone asked if she was lost.

Corrin sat down on a nearby bench and simply watched the people passing by her, and it quickly became apparent they were not noticing her, tough Corrin placed her trust in the people of the city and was going to sit in silence. As she sat there at the very least an hour had passed and Corrin found her trust MAY have been misplaced in trusting someone would randomly ask if she was lost. As Corrin was about to get up and start looking around she spotted a familiar fluffball she had seen around her apartment, “Is that...?” quickly Corrin got up and started following the cat that she had barely seen. To think a cat would be her guide in this city was beyond her understanding, but here she was following a ball of fur that was walking back to the apartments by the looks of it. To be honest Corrin didn’t even know who the cat belonged to, she only knew it always woke her up around noon if she wasn’t already up, thanks to not having her servants around Corrin tended to sleep in a lot.

That being said Corrin was never actually awake when there was someone else around by the looks of it. Corrin is a bit of a heavy sleeper so it was natural for her not to wake up at the sound of people leaving and she always came back home late at night so maybe the person was asleep by the time Corrin got home. Soon enough Corin was standing in front of her door with the cat by her side and a big smile on her face, “Thank you for leading me home you cute ball of fur!” Corrin said happily opening the door. The door swung open only to find a girl standing there and instantly Corrin reacted by throwing her book into the air and raising her arms in a defensive combat style and giving a startled yelp. Lowering her arms Corrin looked at the girl standing in her home with wide eyes, “Ummm...hello? I uh...I’m Corrin....do i know you?”

Kingdoms of odd circumstances

Corrin took a deep breath trying to figure out everything that happened, she now stood her hand on her apartment's door knob with a bit of a thud noise repeating in her head. Retracing her steps back to a few moments ago it felt like today would be a great day as Corrin woke up was quick to get dressed and ready to head out for another day of exploring. Corrin had already had everything ready the day before and had a few things out in an attempt to make breakfast...which failed horribly and produced the smell of a fire spell. Moments later after attempting to eat the food and ultimately just throwing it all away Corrin grabbed the bag of chocolate she had been gifted and walked to the door. With a loud ‘Let’s get to it!’ Corrin had violently swung the door open  only to hear a loud thud as a result of her violent door opening, she was always told to be careful and the one moment it slipped her mind something actually happened!

“Oh gods...” Corrin said quickly moving to look at the male that was now was standing there. “Sir are you alright?!” Corrin asked in a worried tone though her voice was a bit more loud than she meant it to be Corrin was never good in a situation like this, she was even this way with some of the units back in her world. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you with the door! ...Did i even hit you with the door?” Corrin asked looking the male up and down quickly though it seemed he was alright there was never any way of telling something like that very easily. The bag of chocolates was being tightly gripped at the top of the bag now enough to actually make the paper crinkle with slight sounds as the door slowly closed.

Now taking a moment to actually think while Corrin looked over the male she realized they weren’t that far apart in age from looks wise at least. Corrin quickly assessed, or quickly for a worrying person like her, that the male was alright her posture quickly softening to one with a more gentle aura. Corrin’s grip on the bag lightened enough to almost make her drop the bag on the ground as if she had forgotten she even had it in her hand. “Well you look fine...” Corrin mumbled as she turned to make sure her door had closed then turned back to the male.

Corrin walked along the sidewalk taking in the sights of the city and memorizing the types of shops that seemed to be around her new home. The strange device in hand and kept close to her side her pace was more of a waddle rather than an actual walking pace, this was to take more time and map out the area in her head. Soon enough Corrin walked up to a place called ‘Jazzmine Societea’ and at first Corrin gave the sign a questionable look, was the name a joke or something? Quickly shrugging of the name of the establishment Corrin walked inside to only find that there were even more strange pieces of machinery around, truly this new world was very odd. Walking up to the counter Corrin looked over what she assumed to be the menu and the variety of the drinks astounded her, were there so many that her servants had to choose from back home?

Corrin put her hand on her chin pondering what on earth all of the different flavors would be like, honestly she had no idea what half the types were even pronounced! Corrin gave a small gulp as she spoke up in a quiet tone request a cup of tea and attempted to announce the name in a way that would hopefully make sense. Once she had ordered the tea Corrin moved over to a small booth sitting down and covering her face, she knew she botched the pronunciation and it was already getting to her. Though Corrin had this embarrassing feeling welling in her chest  she needed to get over it and quickly before she started to apologize for no reason so she pulled out the book she was given on arrival and began to read to pass the time. Though Corrin had a few...habits when she got to reading of course she would get overly involved and excited because of the book, but she also tended to look at anything that made noise, even if it was just for a split second.

As Corrin’s eyes peeked from her book each time the door opened, she spotted many people walk in and out of the establishment some sticking out more than others. Soon enough the cup of tea was set in front of her and quickly Corrin’s hand reacted taking the cup so she could take a sip, after taking said sip the drink was quickly pulled away from her lips, it was overwhelmingly bitter. “That’s bitter...Felicia i-” Corrin gave a few moment after saying this out of habit, “Right...on my own now, i need to do this myself.” Corrin marked her page in the book and set it down on the seat beside her, her head starting to turn to see if she could find anything that openly stated that it was sugar.

//I guess i should start doing things now huh? Well i’m feeling better than i was this morning so i guess i’ll get to it. Pushing back some of my nerves i’m going to throw out a starter call with a hesitant 5 cap...might send IMs to those i can’t come up with Starters for. Like this post for a starter from Corrin, her castmates are exempt from cap.

My names Echo, well that’s what i go by at least...to be honest i’m a little nervous to be in a group again, i don’t know if ideas will come easily like they used to, but i’ll surely try my best!
