Pitch Perfect 3 Thoughts
So just got home from seeing the midnight premiere. Iâm going to give 2 perspectives: Bechloe related and Non Bechloe related
CLEARLY THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS.
So first, Iâll give my thoughts in general: fucking hell I typed out an entire paragraph and it deleted. Okay sum it up: it was my favorite out of all the movies. First; the plot was actually present and well put together. It was random af though, like I wouldâve never in a million years guessed it had to do SO much with Fat Amy, but Iâm not complaining. Fat Amy is the token fat character, but what I love about her is she owns it and her life doesnât revolve around her weight. Her character development was pretty damn good. She went from being a 2D token to a 3D character. I LOVED her fight scene. I felt like she was a fat superhero and as a heavy girl myself, it felt fucking awesome to see that on screen even if it was for comedy. Like shes heavy BUT CAN STILL FUCKING KICK UR ASS without breaking a sweat. Her humor didnât change but her character evolved and I personally loved it. Becaâs plot: AMAZING. I fucking love how they showcased her talent. They did well with her showing her absolute commitment to the bellas when she denied DJ Khaledâs initial offer, BUT they also showed the Bellaâs undying support for their Sister. It made me so happy to see her achieve AND CREATE AND NOT BE TIED TO SOME FUCKING MAYO LOVE INTEREST ACROSS THE WORLD. Sheâs so talented on her own, SO amazing and it was really awesome to see her shine in the end. Chloe: okay as a bechloe supporter who knew it would never happen, I thought they gave her some justice. She had a kind love interest who treated her nicely and seemed unproblematic. She seemed genuinely happy and thatâs all I can say about that. Random thoughts: Flo is my most hated character but they relatively redeemed her and I appreciate that. As always the two reporters (I forget their character names, the one Elizabeth Banks plays) are gross af but whatever. Ruby rose was hot as hell. I think there are a lot of important plots summations that get thrown into shitty âoh I forgot to tell youâ one liners. Overall? I would see it again. It made me feel emotional, it made me laugh, and it kept me interested.
Bechloe POV: OKAY IM FUCKING PISSED Like heaven knows we were queerbaited to hell. Like there were like THREE interactions, the only memorable ones one being Chloe crying while hugging Beca in the end scene group hug and the boob grab which was fucking random and it looked like it led to another plot?? They wouldâve done better to leave it out BUT THEY GOTTA QUEERBAIT SO GOTTA HAVE THE TOKEN LESBIAN MOMENT *rolls eyes*. If you go into this movie expecting anything more from Bechloe youâll be sorely disappointed. Iâm an avid bechloe fan and I didnât even gay out over this movie because they SIMPLY MADE IT SO BECA AND CHLOE DONT INTERACT except for the token queerbaiting moments. Like fucking hell there wasnât even subtext to grab onto except for the boob grabbing moments? and POSSIBLE jealously moments when Chloe interacts with her love interest and Beca interacts with the guy who loves her but it could just as easily be me projecting or be easily explained another way. So I donât have much to say other than FUCK YOU PRODUCERS YOU FUCKING COWARDS. Love you Anna Kendrick, we know you pushed for it bb but you did have plot control.
So, these are my initial thoughts. Reply if youâd like, ask questions, etc. Iâll probably end up making another post or adding on with other thoughts.

i think a lot of bechloe fans are more upset over the horrible queerbaiting than the fact they arenât going to happen. most of us knew there wasnât a chance of it happening but that hasnât stopped universal from using it. like at a certain point queerbaiting because too. much and some of the stuff theyâve been doing def qualifies as that

Supergirl is going down a dark path that I donât like. Kara is treating her sister like garbage over Mon-El being gone, as if it was Alexâs fault; when sheâs only trying to help her sister. Kara lost EVERYTHING years ago and she wasnât acting and thinking like this, this is so unhealthy. This is showing young girls that because your âloveâ is gone, everything else doesnât matter. I seriously donât know what to think anymore. They are destroying the show. First, they are treating healthiest and most important relationship in the show âThe Danvers Sistersâ like garbage. Second, they are getting rid of the most beautiful and healthiest romantic relationship in the show âSanversâ plus itâs in the most ridiculous way possible. Third, Karaâs development is going downhill, instead of building herself up and continuing life and being strong and showing that you can overcome anything even through the darkest times, they are doing the complete opposite, making more important her broken heart over a guy who wasnât even good for her in the first place.Â
It is incredibly sad how true this is...
I refuse to watch SG season 3, and will forever say that âBerlanti-izingâ the show has irrevocably fucked it up. >,<
