jayce is big on petnames & nicknames and it is viktors worst nightmare.
viktor doesn't mind the occasional petname!
not when jayce calls him huggle bunny.
viktor pushed him off the bed for that one.
also jayce is intent on making a nickname from viktor. to the point its worrying. one time a collegue walked by and heard jayce call viktor 'vikky'.
(again viktors response was violence.)
also jayce is big on physical touch which is something viktor has to get used to as someone who was deprived of love from anyone in his early life. at first he refuses to face jayce when sleeping but somehow they progress to spooning and then viktor cannot fall asleep without jayces arms around him. (which jayce will not let him live down.)
viktor eventually is able to initiate intimacy without the help of jayce and his partner treasures the brush of hands they share when they're writing on the blackboard, or the way that viktor leans against his side more than necessary when they are watching something.
jayce is just a himbo in the relationship.
viktor also wants to seperate their work life and private life, so he's very against PDA; especially at the lab. he also wants to keep their relationship a secret from people. Unsurprisingly, due to Jayce this has remained impossible.
First time they got caught it was Heimerdinger. he was coming in to check on their progress on a specific task he asked of them.
he walks through the door without an invitation and then boom. jayce is sitting on a chair with viktor in his lap, as both of them are reading over something. they don't realise that Heimerdinger has appeared and because he has basic decency he leaves and knocks.
(he hears a crash from inside and jayce groaning in pain and viktor berating him).
next was the entire council because jayce was getting excited about his new hextech project and was like "me and my husband- i mean partner." and mel just erupted into laughter (she's a girlboss she's known about their relationship from the moment it started).
jayce vigorously tries to explain his 'mistake' away as due to lack of sleep but the shining wedding band on his ring finger isn't convincing anyone.
also when him and vi had arrived at the shimmer factory, she begrudgingly says to him, "don't die" to which he replies, "i can't. i have a husband to get home to." to which vi is shell-shocked (she somehow had gotten to the conclusion that he had a fat crush on cait)
