Finally got a little time to myself today.

Not much. Just enough to breathe without somebody needing something fixed, patched, decrypted, carried, chased, stabilized, or exploded... while on the way to LowCred Market.

Love the Scraps. You know that. Would still burn half the city for them.

But gods, sometimes I need silence.

City’s gotten weird lately.

Everybody moving too fast. Too distracted. Eyes on holofeeds instead of the road. Drivers drifting lanes like sleepwalkers. People leaning on horns like noise alone can bend physics.

Watched three near-collisions in under ten minutes just trying to get across Verge.

One guy backed straight into traffic without looking. Another nearly clipped a divider because they were staring at their wristscreen instead of the road. Somebody at a light laid on the horn at a red light like impatience changes impact velocity.

Feels like everybody’s operating half a second behind reality.

Maybe it’s always been this way. Maybe I just finally got quiet enough to notice it.

Anyway. Got slaw mix so Tera can make bibimbap. So the mission was technically successful.
