Fauna turned her head hearing a reply to her autumn themed food. "Wonderful! I mean it IS the best time of year for anything apple related. Apple pie, Apple butter, fresh pressed apple juice and cider, taffy apples, apple....apples! The ideas are endless!"

"So, stranger why don't you come out of the shadows and help me peel some apples, please"

Far too eager and slightly foolish at times. I love her to pieces but she really doesn’t think things through.

Pshh, an assistant who does a damn lot of work. You don’t have to be in charge to work your way into places around here. [a smile creeps across her face and she chuckles] Oh I like the way you think, Fauna. A little sneaky but I can live with that. [her chuckle is a little childish] Well that’s settled then! You can come share your expertise with Sophie while I… well, I can just oversee things and help with the tasting and cleaning up. Tasting is a very important job. We wouldn’t want anyone getting a bad cupcake now, would we?

I may work my fingers to the bone but I certainly don’t want to lose my job. I’ll see what I can do. At the very least Reuben wouldn't mind. [She quietly chuckles] especially if we bribe him with whatever we're cooking. [Fauna laughs] Yes I love helping new recruits in the kitchen! That's honestly what I live for! [Fauna laughs again] Yes Flora as always, you will be there strictly for tasting and lick the bowl when we're done.

[Fauna sighs heavily in relief] Oh thank you Clopin! But I still want to see her. I've been keeping myself so busy since the games began. I absolutely HATE the idea of us being nothing more than sheep waiting to be slaughter for a simple extra buck....

I know you’re tough as nails. You’ve always been the level head between the three of us. Merryweather would jump head first into a fight and claw the person’s eyes out. You would survey the situation first, and me? Well you know I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty.

Borrow my kitchen?! Well I have no worries Tiana and Reuben? If you can sneak past them then go right ahead. May I ask why you need the kitchen in the first place? Got the late night itchy to make yourself pancakes or something?

Exactly. Good thing Merry isn’t here to go in all guns blazing, huh? And we shouldn’t tell her about what’s happening either. [she shakes her head] I don’t like lying to her, but I think it’s the best thing to do.

Well it’s as much yours as it is theirs. You work hard in there, Fauna. [then she starts to laugh] I’ll try my hand at sneaking past them. Hm? Oh, I offered to bake some chocolate cupcakes with a young girl here. Sophie, I think she’s called. I was hoping to try and take people’s minds off of things with my terrible baking skills. Well I'm glad Merry's not here too. She'd volunteer herself just to save the rest of us from this mess. She's far too eager to prove herself. 

But I'm just a kitchen assistant. It would be one thing if I was the head chef but I don't want to step on their toes. But, if I just happen to leave the keys for the kitchen out for lets just say anybody to take well them oops forgetful me lost they keys! Oh chocolate cupcakes! Well why didn't you say so? I have a few recipes for that! I'd LOVE to help a new comer to the kitchen! I have always said that cooking is the best way to clear your mind and fill your stomach!

I’ve been holding up as best I can. This is the ONLY time where I’m happy that Reuben keeps me extremely busy. [She laughs drly]
