Classpecting Concerns and Literary Systems - Lexia Velika

Pesterfest 2026 Project Showcase Live Watch Party - Pesterfest Team and the Project Showcase contributors

A live watch party for the premiere of the Pesterfest 2026 Project Showcase, where a multitude of Homestuck-inspired projects are shown. These may range from fan comics, mods, music, and more. The live watch party is available to join on Pesterfest’s Discord, while the Showcase will premiere on Youtube.
I made this Hero Mode base recently and have finally decided to start working on making the additional parts needed to turn it into a dollmaker. (The full layer list is at the bottom of the post if you'd like to leave suggestions!)
I had previously done a similar project before but lost my source files:
Before making any parts however, I wanted to decide how many layers this dollmaker will include, something that would save me time reprogramming my systems to account for new ones. By "layers", I meant how many part selections you can have on at a time. The dollmaker above had about 30 layers distributed like this:
Head accessories include 4: a Glasses layer, 2 LR horn layers, plus a Hat layer
Hair is split into 6: Back Hair (Top and Bottom), Front Hair (Bangs and Sides), and two Ponytail layers
Face is split into 6: two LR eye layers, a mouth layer, two LR brow layers, then a face paint selector connected to the base for the head
Torso is split into 4: the base Shirt, an optional Jacket on top, a layer for Neck Accessories, then a Symbol layer
Legs are split into 4: Pants, Socks, Shoes and then the plain leg base
Back is split into 2: a Cape layer and a Tail layer
I expected this one to have just a bit more, considering I was adding arms and other things my original dollmaker was missing.
But that out of the way, this is the layout I came up with. Note my engine (HTML Canvas) only allows recolorable parts to be tinted in full:

This is an extension of my previous call to action: If you have any parts you would like added, please suggest them in the comments or reblogs. I'd love to see it, I'm not that good at ideas anyway.
As an extension of this idea, I might also end up doing some sort of Homestuck VTuber customizable as well, but I'm not sure how well it will end up performing. And oh god damn it HSBC updated I'm writing a blog post please leave me alone.

This was a fun one! I drew the outfits separately which is why they're so different, which I hope is okay. I'll also be keeping the files for these in case I wanna do more expressions for my own personal enjoyment...
