I actually drew this before the gauntlet to rally voters but it was finished late so I changed the text on the banner to reflect post xD.

Merric is so humble about his abilities and accomplishments so I find it out of character for him to “fight Robin for glory” as some people portray the popularity contest as.

He probably signed up because some friend talked him into it somehow xD

“Mage tournament? That sounds nice, but I’d much rather stay and help with the war effort.”

“Well, Marth some of us could use those extra feathers…”

“Nevermind, I’ll do my best!”

Obviously, I flew all my banners in Merric’s name. No regrets.

(I ended up rank 9 after going to sleep. I do have a 5* lv 40 Merric, which I pulled on his banner, but I use a lv 1 to autobattle.)

So, I’ve been playing FE:Heroes and using this team since level 25. It has served me well in storymode, challenge maps, and arena. :D

When the game came out, I tried to reroll for a 5* Merric but I decided to stick with this roll since it had three of my favourite characters (Merric, Linde and Hinata) and provided a great team composition on the get-go (sword+2 mage+lance).

At first, I saw Abel as a bonus 5* I’d replace later, but he became one of my favourite characters. (Being a really good unit helped too.)

Merric on the other hand, sadly became useless as a unit since he stopped levelling his attack stat after level 25. I wanted to save feathers and make him good (because favouritism) but then I figured he rolled negative attack stat for his nature/IV and will end up with sub 37 attack even when maxed out. -.-

Hinata was getting doubled by everything as well so I figured I had to summon replacements since I didn’t want to use Anna, Draug or Virion...

Didn’t expect both Lyn and Takumi to volunteer, but I’m happy they showed up. :D
