DROP OF POWER. a retelling of a court of thorns and roses but muse A has been fighting for the lives of everyone trapped beneath the mountain while being secretly helped by their loved. muse B is a High Lord/Lady and doesn't meet muse A until they're offering them a drop of their power and bringing them back to life. when muse A's open for the first time as a fae, they meet the eyes of muse B, who realizes the connection between them immediately, only for muse A to be distracted by their lover. from there its muse B fighting against the bond because muse A is happy, only to eventually rescue muse A for one reason or another from their former lover.
FATED MATES. the threat of a war against Hybern lingers on the horizon. muse A, the sibling of a High Lord or Lady, has been promised to another court in marriage, hoping to strengthen the alliance between the two. to further ensure their victory, a meeting of the courts has been called to discuss strategy. having accompanied their sibling, muse A stumbles upon muse B, a High Lord or Lady of a different court, by chance. the mating bond snaps into place instantly, and while muse B is thrilled, having spent decades or centuries waiting for this moment, muse A panics in fear that this will only brew tension between the three courts in a time they need to come together.
INNER CIRCLE. this is a poly plot. muse A and B grew up together and are inseparable beside the difference in the mannerisms ( one seemingly serious, the other often not serious enough ). though not romantically involved with one another, they've shared a bed with several others over the years. things change when another individual, muse C is introduced into the tight knit inner circle within their court ( muse C's sudden involvement within the group is something that can be discussed! ). intrigued by the new face, the more flirtatious of muse A and B attempts to befriend muse C, only to be met with a brick wall. the relationship between the three is slow to develop - exchanged barbs turn into quips, turn into late nights wandering the streets of the capital within their court - grabbing dinner, drinks and dancing. eventually, they end up sleeping together and the dynamic shifts further. whether they're all mates or not is also something to be discussed.
BOOK OF BREATHING. muse A is a nanny, helping raise fae children for important individuals. once the children reach certain milestones, muse A often moves along - either onto a new family or a new court all together. they're almost nomadic, with few personal ties or a life outside of their job. they interview for and end up successfully landing a job for muse B, a High Lord/Lady of one of the courts. either muse B could have a partner and realize that muse A is actually their mate, their partner is no longer alive, or muse B's partner, muse C, discover they're both mates to muse A. regardless of the circumstances, its a fine line of muse A attempting to keep professional boundaries that steadily disappear with shared lunches or dinners, muse B ( and possibly C ) accompanying muse A and the baby out on errands, etc, but steadily, that line disappears.
A RIP IN THE FABRIC. muse A does not remember how they came into existence, just one day, that they were. they had siblings, parents - ones with memorable names and even greater historical feats. but even they had been erased from muse A's memory with the passage of time. their earliest, most vivid memory is a tear in the fabric of time and space. one moment, they are home - a world seemingly devoid of color - and the next, muse A is dumped into a land swarmed with it. muse A is a beast turned into a God(dess) worshipped by lesser beings who eventually came to call themselves fae. they greedily soaked in the sacrifice and prayer, satisfied that they had left behind a once insignificant existence. greed and arrogance left them blind, believing themself to weild power to raze the world should it please them, they did not see the trap that was carefully laid before them. society had grown, the fae advanced. and while they'd fallen in love with one of these lesser beings, muse B ( a sentiment returned ), their follows saw the emotion as a weakness. their God was powerful, but now easily injured shoulder something happen to their lover. lured into muse A's temples, muse B was held before the God with a knife to their troat, and when the God refused to give them up, her blood drenched the floors. muse A ripped through flesh and bone in their anger, but the chanting of Priestesses left them disoriented, falling to their knees before others for the first time in their long existence. when muse A awoke, they were trapped within the confines of the Prison, and there, they languished for centuries. it was only desperation, a lingering war, that allowed muse A's release - a bone deep bargain struck with the High Lord of Night to fight for the fae. and it is across one of the war rooms that this once-God see what appears to be a reincarnation of muse B.
CAULDRON MADE. the magic of the wall separating fae from human has slowly begun to unravel, creating holes to be discovered by those who truly looked. with fae of ill intent slipping through largely unnoticed and tormenting unsuspecting humans, tensions rise and rumors begin. cults appear amongst the humans who have begun to view the fae as Godlike, hoping to appease them and find mercy as the fear of the wall falling grows more prevalent. in Prythian, high priestesses preach of metamorphosis and the attention of the High Lords and Ladies become focused upon the fading magic and the individual squabbling's between courts. distracted, they fail to notice Hybern, who have infiltrated the minds of the human queens, convincing them that immortality may just be beyond the reach of their fingertips - that they only need experiment. the humans who once disappeared sporadically now do so with increasing frequency, and it's only when Hybern begins to succeed that the danger of reality makes itself known the Prythian. the closed off nation has been using the Cauldron upon the missing humans to experiment and have finally succeeded ; several they've turned side with those who have granted them immortal life and a power that they'd once never been able to dream of, while a small handful of others manage to escape - eventually finding their way upon Prythian soil and reporting what had happened to the High Lords and Ladies. a gathering is called beneath the mountain with these Cauldron-Made fae and once more, lines are being drawn and a war against Hybern appears to be on the horizon.
