Whatever situation you are in right now... Always make the most out of everything. Savor every moment that you have... whether it be with your family, friends, crushes(?), team mates, etc.
I would like to share a little something...
Back in college, we had our Arnis Team Bonding where I invited my team to our house for a boodle fight, chill, play, and what not. Not the usual Arnis training but we just savor the moment with each other... That time, we used to have a school in our church which happened to have a playground. We were like kids playing in the seesaw. Afterwards, we played a Pinoy game--Patintero and it felt like it was the most amazing game I have played in my entire life!!! As in hagalpak sa tawa, my tummy ached due to laughter!
I cannot forget this day because that is when I felt really happy even though I have a lot of dinner dishes waiting for me to clean.
Lesson?
Savor every moment.
Now, kaming arnis team, after graduation, we became busy with our career and personal lives. We don't have time to bond or chat just like we used to. We can't train just like how we used to train.
In life, we can never encounter a moment with the same mood, conversation, place, or people kaya nga siguro may kasabihan na LIVE AS IF IT IS YOUR LAST but the Bible says,
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, -Ephesians 5:15 KJV
Yes, we, Christians, have the right to enjoy and seize the day but still in a Christian manner. We have to be wise. In everything we do, are we pleasing the Lord? In every aspect of our lives, as students, as athletes or as sons and daughters, are we pleasing the LORD?
Love,
Faye Ann
