Education

Today in society education is the most important thing for everyone to do for their future. Some kids loves school others cant afford or choose not to go intentionally. My concern is how many teens,especially African-American teen refuse to do their or not go to school when this is what we have been fighting for since the 1900s. I believe that not everyone is made for college, but you do need your basic academic skills to even be considered in this world. I also believe the parents have a big say in a childs education. Why spend all this money for your child for them to go to school and not do there homework, only to pay more money over the summer! American take education to lightly compared to China. Upward Bound is great because it provides many benefits for high school students and show them the right path for a brighter future. I hope that more people would takes opportunities like this and take advantage of all the things life gives you. Your education is what will get you far in life take it and keep it going until you are comfortable with what you are good at. #fceaub

Should You Go Away for College?

This is a question that many high school seniors are seriously debating as graduation gets closer.Choosing to take that big step and leave home for a long period of time,can seem very scary for some people.For others it may seem like a easy answer.Yes, if you ask most students in high school they will be quick to say “of course i’m leaving for school”. But is that a good decision for everyone.People asked me this same question my freshman year of high school and like many students I was quick to reply ,” Oh yes,I’m definitely going away”. But if someone were to ask me that same question now as my senior year is quickly approaching.I would have to tell them I don’t really know.The difference from then and now is I’ve had a lot of time to think about what it really entails to go away for college.When students are first asked this questions they are most times not thinking of the financial,emotional,and other stains they are going to embark on.You don’t really think about how much you will miss your family or other personal relationships with people you leave at home.Or how much it will really cost when you have to do everything for yourself.Students don’t really think about this because all of this is happening at a time where you have just made a great accomplishment and coming into adulthood.However,some people do just fine being on their own when they leave for college. It teaches them how to do things for themselves instead of being so dependent.You learn how to get ready for the real world outside of adolescence and being told everything.Then again some people run wild with the idea that they are no longer being told what to do.And this results in them being ill prepared for life.So my question remains is it best to go away for college?

Never Give Up on Education!

Never give on education because you have the destiny to accomplish anything you want in life. Never let anyone take your joy away from your learning the history of education. Having education gives you the goals to achieve down the road. Giving up on education will not show who the real person that you are if you don’t show that you are worthy and loyalty as a leader. Being a leader gives you the authority of your ownership of having the education you need to accomplish your dreams that you have for yourself since you were a child while growing up. Not giving up on education will give you the motivation and others to never give up in life because you are on this Earth to change different opportunities to many different generations that comes behind you. This will push others to do the same to know that education is the most important thing to have in your life. Therefore, without education you won’t get anywhere in life, you will still in the same footsteps of giving up. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND KEEP MOVING FOWARD IN LIFE!!

Summer school, I believe it help a lot of kids get better at the subject they struggle at. A lot of kids will take advantage of summer school and not take it serious and make the same mistakes they made before. I had to go through summer school for a class I struggled in, I ended up passing the class with an A. But with my time in summer school I notice how a lot of students won’t pay attention. I think that summer school is beneficial but you have to actually have to but work in it or you will just struggle more. Also I believe summer school make you want to pay attention in your regular school classes more often because of the grade you receive and you would notice how getting good grades are not that hard to get when you really try. Also it’s beneficial because you get to look at some other methods of ways to learn in the class other than what your old teacher did and by having these different methods you understood the work more #fceaub #fceaub

Is College Worth It?

Is college worth all the debt you’re left with after graduating? The debt keeps graduates from saving up for a car, house, or even retirement. So why should i go? Many successful people didn’t go to college and they’ve had a successful life. There are many reasons why college is worth the trouble. College grads have higher employment rates, bigger salaries, and more work benefits than high school grads. On top of that, it is said that college graduates have “better interpersonal skills, live longer, have healthier children, and have proven their ability to achieve a major milestone.” Aside from all of that, everyone is not guaranteed a successful future through fame or inventing something extraordinary. Not going to college can ruin your life. You could be stuck in a part time job, struggling to make ends meet while getting paid minimum wage. Although college comes with it’s flaws, going to college is probably the best choice if you want to have a good life.

Should Students Have to Go to School on Weekends?

Personally, I believe going to school on weekends would be a disgrace to students, including myself, who have to endure school 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. Getting up early is already a huge problem for most students, which is why students come to school agitated and exhausted. So what can one expect if they push students to go to school 7 day waking up at 6 o’clock and not leaving school until 2:30? I’ll tell you! You will have more students missing school, more behavior problems, and a drop of grades. ONE, students will miss more school because they will as if they NEED A BREAK! TWO, schools will have more behavior problems with students because exhaustion from being up all nights from the previous day, due to work load they may have form teacher the day before. Thirdly, grades will drop due to the first to factors that I stated before, this is just what it is leading to. This is I do not agree with schools having school on weekends.

We’re On Tumblr!

We finally made it to tumblr and we’re pretty excited about everything that means. We figure if Obama and the Whitehouse can have a page then so can we.  We’ll be posting about all of the usual things, college tours and activities, academic lessons, and even some financial aid information.
