No matter how experienced an agent is in this field, it's easy to fall into a state of fear and panic. The ghosts have that effect and it doesn't matter how brave or strong you are. Anyone can experience it. Lockwood too, but he never allows himself to show it. He's a leader and a leader can't afford to let his emotions get the best of him.

His hand fold into hers naturally and he watches her with patience as she tunes into her talents. They might be in the thick of it but there's still time to let her gather as much insight as she can. He's already looking at her when she meets his gaze. "Good, that's all we need. Perhaps we might still have time to secure their sources. We'll use the iron we have left to create an obstacle for them, if we're lucky it'll buy us even more time. A way out is our priority." He squeezes her hand to reassure her.

Usually Lucy is GOOD at keeping track of things, and keeping her fears in check, but then again, everyone has an off day, right? And she's more than glad to have Lockwood and George by her side when things go wrong. The squeeze of his hand is reassuring and she nods, allowing the touch to linger a little longer, before going back to listening.

She can hear the ghosts approaching, but there's something else, too, a sort of...knocking sound, that comes from the other side of the room. "Over there." Lucy says, eyes flying open and reaching to hand Lockwood whatever iron she still has left before heading to the wall, knocking against it. "It's hollow..."

It's a very LOCKWOOD thing to say, that's for sure, and Lucy nearly rolls her eyes, but it's mainly to prevent herself from blushing at his compliment. It's nothing new for him to compliment her either, and yet it hits different than whenever anyone else does it.

"Thank you," She manages a smile as she takes the last step and then stops. "I have...things to do, so don't wait for me with dinner, yeah?"
