It was still fairly early in the morning when Beth left her new apartment and walked down the road to get coffee. The novelty was still fairly new to her, she wasn’t accustomed to being allowed outside the house without having to ask permission. It made her happy that she could now just leave and walk to wherever she wanted without anyone asking questions. It was strange being back in Southport though, with all the people she had known throughout her childhood returning and reminding her of how little she had done in the years since they had last met. A man brushed past her and she startled, still scared to be touched and worried that what happened before might happen again. Finally though, she made it to the coffee shop and ordered herself a vanilla latte, something she had only drunk after she had been released from her husband’s clutches. Looking around for a place to sit, she saw a familiar face and walked over carefully. “Kaiden, is that you?” she asked tentatively, reaching out to tap his shoulder.

As weird as it may sound to probably everyone, Kaiden was really a morning persons, he always woke up extra early, takes a long shower and gets coffee. It was his morning routine ever since he was able to pay for his own coffee. This time, Kaiden went for a jog before going to his favorite coffee shop, he had ran for about half an hour and was fairly sweaty but he wasn’t expecting to see any familiar faces this early in the morning. The male ordered a Latte Macchiato, his all time favorite coffee, turns out Kaiden was wrong about not running in to anybody this early. As he was enjoying his coffee he felt the tap on his shoulder and heard his name, and so he turned himself around and got surprised by who was standing in front of him now. “Beth? Holy, it has been so long?” Kaiden said with joy in the tone of his voice, he loved seeing old friends once again, after a long time. “Look at you, you look gorgeous. So you’re back in Southport? I did not expect to see you at all.” Rambling on when seeing an old friend always happened with him, he was a dork after all and he couldn’t really keep in all the happiness he had inside when he saw Beth.

“Last night I actually went to a bar, and I never really go there or drink alcohol but an old friend of mine wanted me to come and I just went there. So around midnight I was nowhere near sober, and suddenly this old lady comes up to me, and grabs my face and tries to kiss me? I was so confused, when I told her to back off, she tells me this whole story about me looking like her death husband and how bad she wanted to take me home and kiss me. Basically the last time I ever go to a bar,  I mean, do I really look that bad that I draw old woman? Then I thought about it and I realized no girl came up to me but that old woman. Awesome.”

“My sleeping schedule is so fucked up. How do I fix it? Shit, I don’t even know if I want to fix it. I feel like one of those losers who thinks they’re cool for pulling all nighters during the summer.”

You don’t know awkward until you’ve been caught checking someone out in the fruit and vegetable aisle of your local supermarket. Let me just say the wife was not pleased with me, but in my defense he was really hot and I didn’t see her behind the pineapple stand. Oh it feels so good to be home.

But I would have also helped you out, like I would have jumped in pretending to be you husband and get mad at you in the middle of the supermarket for staring at another men. “Oh god no. i didn’t not do any skinny dipping…” Kat mused, giggling a little bit as she looked up at him. “That does sound like a lot of fun though…” A little chilly too. She smiled again as she looked up at him. “You never were….” She mused, thinking back to when they were together. She enjoyed drinking and partying, though she’d not be doing it for a while. She had no money at the moment. “I’m sad we couldn’t hang out more in Vegas… “

“Good, that would have been bad.” Kaiden laughed it off. Looking at the female standing in front of him with a smile, he could truly tell by the way his smile lit up that he was very happy to be in her presence. “Well, we’re back in Southport, I am back for good, so we should really hang out more now.” The two kept walking and after a while they arrived to the coffee shop, Kaiden opened the door for her like a real gentleman and smiled. “What do you want, my treat right.”

Sick Times || Kaiden & Adrian

Adrian was in bed ever since coming home from Vegas. She had become incredibly ill ever since the person threw up on her. Just her luck huh? Though there was some good out of it, she ran into Kaiden again. She never thought they would run into each other especially since things ended between them…and her accident. As much as it pained her to leave him behind she knew deep down she had to. She didn’t want to hurt him anymore and she also didn’t want to be reminded of how amazing they were. She was the one that taught him to dance and how to love and appreciate it with a passion…and she couldn’t give that to him anymore. The thought made her sigh. She decided to stay downstairs for the time being until he arrived because she physically couldn’t take going up and down the stairs. Especially at the moment. With Asher at work she was so happy to have a familiar face come to see her especially make sure she was okay. Once she heard the knock on the door she took a moment to stand up. It was an accomplishment, she didn’t feel the urge to vomit with the sudden movement. Heading over to the door she limped slightly her false leg giving her slight issues as of lately. Opening the door she smiled up at him the best she could. “Hello again stranger” She laughed softly before going into a coughing fit holding onto the doorframe.

A smile showed up on his face as she opened the door for him, even though Adrian was really ill Kaiden couldn’t deny the fact that she still looked gorgeous, as always. He really missed hearing her laugh and seeing her smile. “Hello you.” He said with a smile on his face as he held up the bunch of movies he brought with him and the grocery bag. “I know you wanted soup but I also brought a shit load of junk food.” A little laugh slipped from his mouth as he spoke to her. “Now that you don’t have you puke on you anymore, I can finally give you a hug.” Back in Vegas when they ran in to each other a nice too see you again hug didn’t really happen, and he seriously could use a hug from the female. Without waiting for any permission for a hug Kaiden just slipped around her, holding his hands around her tiny waste as he hugged him. “I’m very happy too see you again, Adrian. I’ve missed you.” All the things he were saying in the moment may all sound too cliche, and maybe he meant it in a romantic way but he knew they weren’t anything near romantic so he kept pretending it was in a friendly way, not yet letting go of the tight hug he pulled her in.

Katarina reluctantly let go off him. She didn’t really want to let go, she didn’t know when she’d be in his arms again. But she also knew she wouldn’t be able to hug him forever. “I really liked it….” She murmured, hooking her arm through his as they began to walk towards the coffee shop. “I gambled away way too much money…..did you enjoy it?”

Kaiden shot a smile at her when she happily talked about Vegas. “You did? I am glad you did. Please don’t tell me you skinny dipped in a fountain, though, because I know people who do that when they get tequila in their hands.” He laughed as he made the reference to Sophie whom he ran in to because she skinny dipped in Vegas. “I do’t know, I am not much of the whole gambling and party lifestyle. I spent time by the pool, not once got drunk. But it was nice to have some time off.”

Ever since Adrian and Kaiden ran in to each other on the Vegas trip, he was so happy to be back in Southport and actually have contact with her again. Seriously, Adrian could really light up his smile and only reading her text made him happy. As some messaged went back and forth between the two Adrian told him she still wasn’t feeling good after the whole puke incident so he wanted to go over to her house and make sure she would feel better. Before he drove to her house, he ran by the local supermarket first, he had already packed various movies, some thrillers, horror and some romantic movies because he wasn’t sure what he wanted to see. In the store, he was only supposed to buy soup, but he also bought some chocolate, some chips, and some more junk food. Kaiden proceeded through the check out and finally drove to the address she sent to him over text. On the driveway, before stepping out Kaiden took a deep sigh, someone he felt nervous being around, he always had a crush on her but he knew she just wanted to be friends and it still bothered him. Finally he got the courage to the walk over to the door, with the bag of groceries in one hand, and with the other hand he knocked loudly on the door. “It’s me, Kai. ” The male shouted and waited for her to answer the door.
