Sam laughed loudly, knowing the feeling of just wanting to be away from a certain place. “Oh I know. I’ve been here before, and was thankful I wasn’t buying then too,” they snorted, shaking the hand offered for them. “Sam. Thank you in advance for a great night, as I’m sure I’ll be too drunk to say so at the end of it,” Sam teased. “Lead the way, my new best friend,” they joked.
“Sounds like you have good luck making guys pay for things.” Avi’s tone was teasing, his smile confirming that fact. He gave Sam’s hand a good squeeze in greeting before tilting his head, leading the way. “Most important question of any burgeoning friendship. What’s your poison? I’m a scotch drinker mostly, but I’ve been known to branch out if the time is right.”

Sam was on their way home, tired from a long day at work when they heard the question. Sam hadn’t planned on going out tonight, but as they looked at the person asking they reconsidered. They smiled and gave him a brief look over. “I certainly would be remiss in saying no to someone as cute as you,” they teased a little. “Where did you have in mind?”
“Anywhere but here.” Avi motioned over his shoulder at the restaurant behind him. “Just got off a shift, and if I may give you a word of advice? Wayyyy overpriced drinks.” Amused, he extended his hand to the other for them to shake. “Avi. I’ll be the one making sure you’re nice and drunk all night. Uhhh... there’s a decent pub around the corner. We could actually talk.”
Jack was in the streets finally done with moving every box into his apartment, except for one that he had missed that was right behind the man. “You know moving to an apartment sure is a tedious task, I’m in the mood of meeting someone new, would you like going out for some drinks? Maybe grab something to eat? I’m starving.” He said with a chuckle as he wiped the sweat on his forehead.
Fuck, if Avi didn’t know that feeling well. He’d been in Chicago for a few weeks now, just stretching his legs, getting his bearings, but still. More boxes than he’d like to admit littered his apartment, most of them opened, Avi unpacking as he saw a need for the items inside. He was coming inside, not going out, so the timing for this gentleman was perfect. “Yeah. I could eat. You know the neighborhood? I could gives some decent recs.”
Had Jacob been two minutes later, he would have missed his booking because of the car accident that occurred on street just adjacent to the building he would be working in. As it happened, the roads were still blocked after his shoot, and as he exited onto the sidewalk and saw all the noisy mess ocurring around him, he knew he wouldn’t be getting a car to drive him home any time soon.
“Cool,” Jacob groaned, eyes glaring at the mess. “Guess I’ll be walking.”
Avi preferred his bike to other modes of transportation. Unless he had to get on the interstate, bikes could navigate the city streets of Chicago, unencumbered by whatever traffic nightmare befell. He was even more grateful on this particular occasion that he could zip in and out, weaving around the mess of cars. He stopped, however, to the groan of another, obviously caught in the frustration of navigation.
“Yeah, dude, I get it.” He tapped the handlebars of his bike with a palm. “Good investment here. Dead stop. But, uh... my ass could use a break.” No one could tell Avi he wasn’t occasionally considerate. “What way are you headed? Conversation makes the miles go by quicker. That, and EDM.”

Zachary was walking down the sidewalk, but he noticed someone counting quite a bit of money and he smirked softly. He walked up to him and he noticed that Avi had spoken to him and he nodded, “Sure drinks can be on you. Even if we take them off of you as well.” He smiled.
“Extra points for the creative double entendre.” Avi pointed towards Zachary, amusement lighting his features. “We’re on a point-based system here. Every one hundred points, you get another drink. You’re up to two hundred now.” Arbitrary system, of course, but Avi’s flirtation left something to be desired. “You pick the bar. I’ll follow you.”

Avi wasn’t usually quite so ostentatious, counting his tips outside of the restaurant, but he’d been released early, and the last thing he wanted was to be called back in last minute because another table entered. He leaned against the outside wall, thumbing through the bills, before stuffing them in his pocket with something of an amused laugh. “Hey,” he said, interjecting to the nearest passerby. “Drinks are on me tonight. You in?”
