@fckmadison-blog
“Sorry sorry. Next time I’ll watch where I’m going. How much were the drinks?”
“It’s fine just please do watch where you’re going next time. It’s $5-7 per drink. I’ll cover it this time but if it happens again you just might be paying for them. Now, can I get you a drink or something?”
“I- I didn’t mean to, I’m just a little clumsy sometimes, honestly, I would never uh- you know, rough house in a public place, I really wouldn’t knowing that it impacts on you. I’m sorry, it was an accident.”
“It’s fine just watch where you’re going. Can I get you a drink or something?”
“Calm down. I was mixing someone’s drink. Are you okay?”
“Sorry, some of the customers are getting on my last nerves. You see the table over in the corner? Our usual asshole group constantly hitting on us bartenders and making rude and perverted comments? Yeah not in the best of moods to be dealing with that. I didn’t get any sleep last night because my daughter is sick and kept me up all night.”
“Are –are you talking to me? Because I don’t even have a drink in my hand or anything, I was just about to order one?”
Madison finished giving the drinks to who they belonged to before returning behind the counter and setting her tray down. Looking at the blonde, Madi shook her head. “No I was talking to the bimbo behind you,” she shrugged as she got to work serving some of the guys at the bar before looking back at the blonde again. “What can I get you,” she questioned.
“I’m pretty positive swearing at costumers is a good way to get fired. I’d watch that mouth of yours before somebody talks to your manager.”
“Almost positive my boss swears more than me and aren’t you a little young to be in here? Where’s your id?”
“There’s really no need to yell- I’m standing right here. I didn’t see you.”
“Sorry I thought you were one of the guys. They’re always rough housing in here and bumping into me.”
Sorry. I didn’t realize I was in the way.
It’s fine. Just please be careful next time. Not everybody in here is nice and I really can’t afford to have any money taken from paycheck. I have a one-year-old at home.
“I-I was just trying to get to the bathroom, the man behind me pushed… I’m not even normally here, a friend asked me to come out, sorry.”
Madison sighed lightly as she set her tray down on the counter and smoothed her shirt out before turning to look at the girl. “Sorry,” she spoke softly this time. “I’m just a little tired and done dealing with the assholes in this bar. The bathrooms over there. Don’t be afraid to call the guys here out on the shit they do. If you get shoved turn around and say excuse me really loud and sassy like and they’ll usually apologize.”
Wait. You haven’t told him about Sara…?
I mean, yeah... You were the only I kept in touch with when I left... I regret pushing Xavier away but... I just... Didn’t think he’d understand...
“I’m sorry, did somebody wake up on the wrong side of the bed today? There’s no need to yell.”
“Fuck off, kid. Some of us are trying to make a living here. Everyone I’ve had to serve today have been extremely rude. I was up all morning with my 1-year-old because she’s sick and now I have to deal with assholes and whiney bitches.I swear these people are lucky I’ve got a baby otherwise I wouldn’t care about losing my job.”
“Hey, watch it! I can’t afford to have to pay for broken glasses and wasted alcohol. That’s my paycheck it comes out of.”
“Now why would you think that? Don’t you have family here? You’re right about that, this town never changes.”
“Yeah I have family here but I really thought when I left that I was leaving for good. I’m glad it hasn’t changed much.”
“I actually think this town’s chnaged quite a bit, but welcome home.”
“I don’t see much of a change really. Thank you.”
Awww, sweet girl. I haven’t seen her since she was a few months. Is she walking now? Please tell me that I haven’t missed everything.
“She took her first step when she was about 9 months. I’m still trying to teach her how to eat by herself but we’re getting there. I still haven’t told Xavier about her yet.”
❝ THAT SONG IS most definitely, hands down, one of the best that they have produced. my band did a cover of it and we got a lot of positive feedback. ❞
“You’re in a band? That’s pretty awesome.”
“I really wish you were lying, but I don’t think anyone would ever want to lie about pregnancy. Where, uh, where’s the baby now? Mine isn’t interesting at all, it’s just eventful and that’s not exactly a good thing.”
“I wish I was lying to but alas I’m not. She’s with the babysitter while I run some errands. What’s going on? Is everything okay?”
