“About 96% of the time they’re totally plastered but the rest of the time I think just messing around cos they’re out and about, having a good time. Oh, you don’t have to do that, really- I mean I appreciate the gesture and I’ll take the seat but consider your apology already accepted.”

“Funny, I make pastries for a living and I hardly even think about that question myself, and now that I am, it is pretty hard to choose. Though, I suppose I’m always a sucker for apple pie or brownies. What about you, what’s your favourite dessert?”

I’m torn between jello and cookie dough truffles, I love both equally but never together- then again I love cookie dough on its own too and in ice cream...so maybe cookie dough- does that even count as a dessert? What about to make, what’s your favorite thing to make?”

“I have to be a big mood for chocolate in order to get a hot chocolate, I don’t like just ordering it out of the blue like most people, I find it much too sweet and too boring after a while, I usually only get a medium and that’s on a good day when it comes to chocolate. I’ve never experienced white hot chocolate, but I feel like I’d enjoy it a lot seeing as I love white chocolate, my father always got me it when it was Easter. Oh gosh, if my paper was on coffee, I wouldn’t need your help at all.”

“Not much of a sweet tooth or you just prefer other things? I don’t eat a lot of chocolate but I could eat a lot of candy. I rarely do but I could if I wanted to, I think, I have a pretty hefty appetite sometimes. White hot chocolate is pretty exceptional, I think you could only get through a small serve but it’s worth it.”

“So how many words have we got on this paper so far?”

I guess I don’t like to be a total cliche from time to time, it’s nice to keep people on their toes. I...yeah, I guess I could do that but I’d feel a little bad about it, I mean he’s not really doing anything wrong. Is he?

“The c u t e s t shit happened to me today. This little boy came into the parlor and pulled out this picture of what he told me was his dog, Buck. In his other he hand he then emptied his pockets of all the cash he had on him onto the counter. He said that today was his birthday and that he’d been saving up forever to get a tattoo of his dog. I didn’t have the heart to turn him away and thankfully I still had some temporary ink in the back. I gave him his money back and a pretty wicked temporary tattoo. He was absolutely chuffed, I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face all day.”

“Oh yeah, that was Michael, I’m his babysitter. He was showing his new tattoo off at his party, he’s very proud of it you know.  Thanks for doing that, that was really cool of you.”
