@fcknjamie: when its been a long fucking day but with ace weather >>
@fcknjamie: but the weather is going to shit soon so that's something
She’d always heard about the rain in London, but for some reason when she left her place this morning, she hadn’t thought to bring an umbrella along with her and now, to save herself from getting soaked, she ducked into a small pub, shaking the rain from her hair as she headed toward the bar “Guess I should’ve come prepared, huh?” she chuckled lightly when a stranger on the next stool looked her way.
“are you new here?” he wondered, his fingers tapping against the glass, half his beer was already gone and he was working on the last bit of his fish and chips, living out his british stereotype. he hated it sometimes, but this place had the best fish and chips, and the ale was alright. “it’s a rookie mistake but i think you’ll learn from it,”
Cara both loved and hated her job – well, internship, really. That day, at least, she only had to be at the veterinary place until after lunch, thankfully. So, after standing in line for ten minutes – still wearing her clothes from work, after all, her house was a good fifteen minute walk from there, and a bag hanging on her shoulder – she finally got her cup of coffee. Stepping out of the coffee shop, she took a sip of her hot coffee and almost spit it out when she realized it was too hot. Looking down, her eyes inspected her shirt to see if any coffee had gotten on it – instead, she found a dry stain. “Goddamn it.” Cara mumbled under her breath, not looking where she was going; she only hoped she could get her work clothes ready for the next day.
jamie had a long morning. he didn’t have the time to get a cup of coffee before work started, though he had tried to carve the time out to get a cup. though things didn’t go as planned. living an hour away from work was something that was quite difficult for the boy, his commute took about an hour and he always ended up being a bit late. walking fast passed a group of people that were huddled he thought he got near the end of it when someone had ran into him, clearly not watching where they were going. “oi, watch it,” he said, seeing the spilt cup of coffee on her shirt and now a bit on his, too. “brilliant,” he said, looking down at his stain and then back up at the girl.
❝ I honestly hate it when people hand me their crumpled up money whenever they get to-go and pick it up at the register. You couldn’t have spent three seconds being a decent person and handing it to me the right way? ❞ Finn lets out.
“yeah, well, this is london, you can’t expect much, especially during the morning rush hour,”
there was a time when i was alone, nowhere to go, and no place to call home, my only friend was the man in the moon, and even sometimes he’d go away too.
