sorry i’ve been so inactive my exams are coming up😭😭😭

i know gerard gibson is the biggest scream fan, so in honor of whatever the fuck scream 7 was, here is how i think he would rank each movie

scream (1996) - it is the original, and he's a classicist when it comes to movies.

scream 2 - it was almost tied with scream, but obviously the original had to win out. he still names scream 2 as the only sequel to be as good as the original and can also recite mickey's act 3 speech by heart

scream 3 - it's a silly movie and he is a silly guy

scream (2022) - he hates cgi billy loomis but act 3 is really good. he took dewey's death personally

scream 4 - do not be fooled by how low it is on the list, he actually really enjoys it, but it didn't stand out for him and he hates dewey and gale fighting.

scream 6 - he loved that kirby came back, but it just isn't the first one he'd want to rewatch. it's too modern and there's no sidney.

scream 7 - claire was subjected to a two hour long rant about how this was an awful scream movie and they should've never fired melissa barerra.

Bunnies Birthday .

September 6th , 2004 .

KATIES POV

It had been the dullest day of September yet , it should’ve been delightful seeing as it was my birthday but instead i was sat in Biddies with Hugh and Gibsie .

Hugh had told me , “This is your birthday treat , Babe.” but it just felt like a reason for him to come here and use my birthday as an excuse .

I sat and picked at my tights as my head moved along the cranberry’s song that was playing from the bars speakers , my mind was off and i wasn’t listening to the conversation Hugh was having . I could feel his thumb running across my hand every few seconds but it was clear he wasn’t paying much attention to me .

I was so deep in my thoughts that when the door banged open I almost jumped out of my skin , Hugh and I both snapped to look at it in the same time but I heard it before I seen it .

“Where’s that orange bunny? I heard it was her birthday !” Was the sentence i heard shouted from the door , the voice coming from none other than Johnny who was standing with the most pink cupcake I had ever seen in his handle and the biggest candle coming out of it making the cupcake look comically small .

When he saw us all at the table he came over , a smile on his face as he set the cupcake down infront of me and took a lighter from his pocket to light it .

I didn’t get a chance to thank him before he started singing in the most awful voice the weirdest version of happy birthday I had ever heard and i couldn’t stop myself from laughing at him but that didn’t stop him , in fact it only seemed to make him singing louder .

Once he finally stopped , Gibsie started clapping and whooping like an idiot from across the table .

“Did you only get one cupcake , mate?” I heard Hugh ask and it made me want to roll my eyes forever .

“Why would anyone else besides Katie need a cupcake? Is it your birthday too Biggs?” Johnny replied , looking far too happy with himself .

“No, I just-“

“Blow out the candles , Katie .” Johnny interrupted Hugh before he could even say whatever stupid thought he had .

I happy followed what Johnny said and leant forward to blow the candle out .

“Thank you , Johnny” I said , trying to make my usually very small voice seem a little louder .

“No worries .” He nodded , sliding into the booth beside Gibsie .

I just smiled to myself , taking the wrapper off the cupcake and biting into it .

“Oh wow , that’s brilliant.”

“Really?” Johnny asked me , looking surprised . “I made them . I actually made a bunch but that was the only one that survived.”

“Oh.” I laughed . “Well it’s lovely , thanks .”

I said between laughs at the thought of this big rugby lad making pink cupcakes all afternoon .

We all settled into a normal conversation after , not really focusing on my birthday but I was okay with that . The fact it had been acknowledged at all tonight was more than enough for me .
