Weapon Training: Assignment
Please answer the following questions (you may send it in a video recording if applicable) truthfully!
What weapon are you the most comfortable/good at? (If the answer is zero, zip, none — then please go on to question number two! If you wish to show off your skills in a video I would recommend putting on a shirt and other proper attire whilst doing it, no one wants to see that!)
What kind of weapon do you believe is personally more beneficial for you? Long range or short range?
What kind of weapon do you look forward to (hope to) trying/mastering in this course?
Are you comfortable using weapons against other people(students or otherwise)?
Staring down at the paper that explains her assignment, EunHye reluctantly sat down to begin working on it. She reads, “What weapon are you most comfortable at…” Oh! That pistol from... Unconsciously, EunHye’s originally relaxed right hand curled into a form that seems to hold an imaginary pistol loosely by the grip and her index finger hooks through the trigger guard. She let her mind wondered around for a while. Reimagining all the times she had used various weapons. There was a period when she preferred the traditional bows and arrows. There majestic make gives her a powerful sense of supremacy in fights. Her memories flashed back to her younger self training in the woods... She had once spend a lot of money on a high performance bow, but as a beginner she struggled with using it because of her form. She had practiced with bows several times before however this one was much heavier so she was unable to shoot accurately. Beads of sweat ran down the side of her cheeks as she continues to practice under the sun for hours. Her arms are sore and legs stiffed from standing in the rigid position. Her back aching for a rest against the tree under shades. At some point, EunHye's arms began to drop and she realized that her form is too pathetic to continue any longer. A pain shot through her hands as she looked down and finally saw both hands covered in blisters and new wounds. Holding back the tears, EunHye convinced herself it is because of the pain and began to bandage up her shaky hands. Arms reaching out, EunHye stretched before focusing on the paper before her again. She’s confused as to whether there is any type of weapon she is most comfortable with. She felt at ease with all kinds of weapon and using them just seems like her second nature. With a quizzical expression, EunHye put down Firearms. The first weapon I had ever learned was a pistol and from that point on I practically self-learned all the other weapons. I had found a special interest in firearms through years of battles. Now they seem to be something of a second nature. below the first question. Hoping that she will not have to demonstrate for the teacher when she gets to class. In a glance, EunHye knew what the answer for the second question has to be. Long-range. Was there a reason for that? Birds chirped outside her window as she sat there considering her rationale. No. I just don’t like people to get too close, was her conclusion. She neatly wrote beneath the previous answer, Long-range weapons allow me to confront my opponent at a distance, which can be an advantage when an escape is necessary. Personally, I prefer to not confront my opponents at a close range since that puts me in disadvantage due to my physical limitations. I’m just weak… But EunHye is not about to admit that. EunHye flashed a look at the rest of the questions a brief look before she started writing swiftly. 3) Coming into the course, I looked forward to test out my current knowledge on various weapons and my implementation skills. On top of that, I had wanted chance to study more futuristic weapons such as, the XM-25 grenade launcher, taser shock wave and the active denial system. A smirk came across EunHye’s face as her eyes fixed coldly on the paper in front of her to write down her final answer in one word. No. As soon as the ink dried, EunHye got up to make her way to the part of buildings where professors resides in. Rm. 002… EunHye stopped in front of the door and looked down at the letter in her hands before looking up again. She smiled to herself a bit sourly thinking the irony in going back to school at 29. By now her age doesn’t bother her as much, but still takes a toll on her when she sees the other students. [sigh] There’s really nothing she can do. Slipping the assignment through the door, EunHye turned to walk away. Now all I have to do is actually attend the classes.
