You have no single right to whine “where’s Riku!?“ unless you’ve also voiced your “where’s Kairi!?“ complaints during the COUNTLESS of times Kairi’s been excluded from Sora and Riku’s adventures.

Don’t even pretend like you care about this trio if you’ve never showed your issues with how often Kairi’s been excluded in the past.

If you truly care about this trio, this post obviously isn’t for you, but there are plently of people this post does apply to.

also, not to like, say mean things for any sok*i fans out there or anything, but as a soriku shipper for like 18 years now, us older soriku fans have always known the writing on the wall in re: sok*i (that it’s your typical forced hollywood het romance, that isn’t written that well, feels kind of shallow (due to the female half never getting screentime or development, etc but is going to be canon because that’s how the world be), and i don’t feel any different about it now than i did then. like nothing really changes just because one becomes “more canon” or anything. like you just hold within you the understanding that you believe soriku is better written, deeper meaning, etc, and you continue to explore that and their dynamic in interpretations, fanworks, etc. like it’s not like riku is going anywhere, lol. the series is still going to focus on sora and riku’s relationship, and will still provide great moments and things to get excited over. like there’s more to them and shipping than just “if they will actually get together in canon”. for me anyway.

Yeah I've been playing since it first came out. ( I'm a old) I already knew were this was headed cause ya know, Its typical. I just kinda wished they would of wrote Kairi better so I could actually beleive it ( and give a crap about the character) but alas typical Hollywood boy meets girl troupe where girl is just there for the love intrest of said main character. Sigh...

But I agree. Like Y'all If for anything imo Riku is probably one of the better written character in the game and just him having a presence is enough for me.
