so i'm watching the Heavenly Delusion anime to get amv footage. i'd only read the manga. and wow. the adaptation seems mostly really good but it makes a TERRIBLE mistake at the end of season 1

kiruko just went through an incredibly traumatic experience and in the manga they just leave without a word and their silence feels really impactful like she's not really ready to process it all yet

but in the anime they inserted this random conversation that wasnt in the manga where she goes "welp, can't be depressed forever! let's get back on the road!" what the fuck

girls when they have their understanding of their identity fundamentally shaken

feels like they were trying to end the season on an optimistic note or something but man it feels REALLY fucking jarring. totally mishandled
