The architect group, Gijs Van Vaerenbergh, built this church in Borgloon, Belgium. It doesnât look like anything special⊠from certain angles. From other angles, the structure reveals itself to be something else entirely.It consists of 100 layers of stacked steel, that are equidistantly staggered in a way that illusively change in appearance based on where the viewer is standing.

is it normal to be scared about the prospect of living with people who went to large universities and conservatories, as opposed to small ass liberal arts schools??? how do people who went to conservatories even ACT?? like, Iâm just stereotyping because Iâm scared, right? people from big schools can be as cool as bton kids, right?? right?
maybe what scares me about conservatory people, or people from big schools is how peopleâs interests and thoughts work? Â Not like bton is such a special snowflake place, but we do think in certain ways I think?? Like, when Iâve ever been uncomfortable with people at this school, thereâs still a part of me thatâs very comforted by the idea that we all have a Plan and nerd out about combining weird topics with each other to narcissistically do exactly what we want. so maybe Iâm just a pissy liberal arts kid who wants to be surrounded by fellow narcissists forever. Â maybe thatâs it.Â
my experience with kids from bigger schools is like this: there are some really cool people who go to big schools (sometimes people go to them by financial necessity, not by choice) but it's true that since you're dealing with a larger sample of the population, not everyone is as "cool" or "with it" the way it is at Bennington or other liberal arts schools. You might have 200 cool kids amongst a school of 10,000 otherwise decent but not terribly interesting people. My study abroad program is composed of UMass students and while some of them do suck, I've made some really close friends as well.

Butter (arguably) makes everything better â even tea. For Chime Dhorje, who works at CafĂ© Himalaya in New York City, the butter in the cup of tea before him ideally comes from a yak.
Yak butter tea is often referred to as the national drink of Dhorjeâs homeland, Tibet. Tibetans drink it all day long â up to 60 cups a day, itâs said â though theyâre not the only ones who enjoy it: Itâs consumed in countries throughout the Himalayas.
In those lofty Himalayan mountains, a few cups of yak butter tea would be a welcome respite from the cold, thin air. And Dhorje tells The Salt that butter tea, or po cha, is a comforting reminder of home. But yak butter is pretty hard to come by in New York. So Dhorje, and anyone who orders it at Café Himalaya, has to make do with butter from a cow.
